Abigail + Jeremy hid the location, along with the overall concept of their wedding from their guests… They wanted it to be a complete surprise! Guests only knew around what time the wedding would take place (brunch), and were given a location to meet up at. That’s it!
Bloom + Blueprint, the event designer + florist extraordinaire shares: Cloth + Flame (the caterers) bused guests to the middle of the desert for a lavish brunch, a soulful wedding ceremony, and bright + eclectic decor smack in the middle of the Arizona dessert. From mismatched eclectic seating, a sand art wedding aisle, a silver wedding dress + pom pom shoes, and velvet pants for the groom, a pop-up was never more fun (or more stylish).
Let’s see the grand surprise in the snaps by Vienna Glenn!
Lead designer, Kate Mellow of Bloom + Blueprint, came up with this elusive poem that A+J used as a part of their invitation suite, crafted by Paige Poppe: the brunch bells are ringing, we’re soon to be wed, the desert is calling, and you’re soon to be led. Forget what you’re thinking about the traditional vow #jeremygotabigail’s epic love starts now.
The Ceremony Space
The ceremony aisle was lined with sand art, a collection of pampas grass, and tons of colorful florals.
Groom: When I walked up to the altar to wait for my bride, overwhelming emotions took over me and I fell to my face and started to cry, with tears of joy and excitement as I realized how powerful this moment was.
Bride: I think my favorite moment was right when I arrived out to the desert... I got out of the Jeep and saw everything we had dreamed of come to life. From the location, to the decor, to our wedding planners standing there beaming with joy — knowing that they had made my dream wedding come to life.
For those who couldn’t attend, we made sure we had a strong cell signal to stream on Facebook Live — which is another element of personal touch we wanted to have… since we met on Facebook!
Abigail’s roots are from New Mexico and Arizona. We wanted to highlight the beauty of the land and culture. As we are starting our own family with the wedding, we thought “what a better place than the middle of no where in the desert”.
The Dress
Now that is a FUN + FLIRTY wedding dress. Abigail absolutely stunned in her shimmering gray gown from La Femme Fashion.
The bouquet by Bloom + Blueprint was brimming with vibrant hues: bougainvillea, astilbe, dahlias, ranunculus, and more!
No matter what, it is YOUR WEDDING!! Make it about the two of you. Everyone always has an opinion, but what truly matters is that you can look back on your day and remember how uniquely “you” the moment was. Think out-of-the-box and make it an experience for your guests.
The Brunch Set-Up
Who doesn’t love brunch? Especially when it’s served at a family-style table!

Knowing that the desert can get pretty cold, each of the guests was gifted with a take home Southwestern-inspired blanket. (We’ll gladly take one of these, too!)
What a brilliant + bright brunch. Who else is in favor of more brunch weddings?!
From the team at GWS, a million congratulations, A+J!
