Alissa + Dan put a lot of love and creativity into making their wedding beautiful + one-of-a-kind. Without worrying too much about selecting a specific theme or style, they decided to incorporate a fun mix of their favorite things, like retro knick knacks + woodsy elements (fruit, moss, fern and sod) to help give the day a personal and eclectic feel. Alissa is an artist + painter and she beautifully illustrated their invitation + all the signage, and her own original works of art decorated the reception venue. Such a lovely way to incorporate your talents into your day + make it extra special! Here’s a bit more from the newlyweds:
We really wanted to make this day about the two of us by adding touches of things that have inspired us throughout our relationship and engagement. We didn’t want the wedding to feel overdone, but instead we wanted to bring in the beauty of imperfection and love for eclectic simplicity in a unique way and just enjoy the time we would be spending with our closest friends and family.
Thanks so much to T & S Hughes Photography for the gorgeous photography and congrats to Alissa + Dan on a beautiful day!
Isn’t Alissa’s cascading bouquet so pretty?!
And the first look location was extra special to Alissa + Dan; it was the spot where they first decided to start dating! So, so sweet! :)
One of the most memorable moments was slipping off into our own private space directly after the ceremony and just realizing that we were actually married! Spending those first few moments together as husband and wife alone was so special.
I seriously can’t get over how much I love the fun table decor. All of their hand-picked elements really came together perfectly to give the centerpieces a playful, whimsical vibe!
Processional: Comptine D' un Autre Ete – Yann Tiersen
Recessional: Antlers – Phil Elverum
First Dance: Dream a Little Dream of Me
Our advice would be to enjoy the wedding day because it will fly by! Also, don't be afraid to delegate tasks to people that are qualified to pull them off. It will take a huge load off of your shoulders if you're able to get a good team together to help with the details.

I’m so excited to see my work here this morning ~ these were probably the most fun tablescapes I ever designed! Thanks for the link, Jen…
I absolutely love those wild, romantic bouquets!
An incredibly sweet & romantic wedding! Warmed my heart on this awfully cold day.
Lovely and romantic wedding pics. I especially like the pic where the bride is in between two adorable angels. I remember purchasing from http://www.wallao.com/ for the flower girl of my own wedding.
Gorgeous wedding! Loved each and every detail of the decor. The table decor looks so amazing and unique.
Beautiful wedding.
