Originally from the UK, Bella + Jake wanted to plan an adventurous elopement that started with their vows and continued on to an epic trip throughout Canada. So, how did they make that happen? B+J planned a weekday in September, to avoid a majority of the crowds, and set off to meet their photographer, Terry Photo Co.
A day full of simplicity, love, the gorgeous turquoise waters of Moraine Lake + Lake Louise…and one of our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes gowns! Let’s head out to one of Canada’s most incredible national parks!
The First Look
We’re not crying…you’re crying!! We can’t help it—these two are the absolute SWEETEST!
I spy with my little eye our Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes Carter Gown!!
The Vows
When you’ve got the amazing turquoise waters behind you, you don’t need much more color than that. So these two opted for a bouquet brimming with greenery and a dusting of white florals from Mountain Top Flowers.
Seriously, how gorgeous is this textured bouquet?

The Sweethearts
Bella shares: Finding my gown was like finding gold! I was lucky enough to have a retailer in the South of the UK. Lovers Society gowns are simply perfect for the contemporary bohemian bride. The Carter gown has small leafy details in the lace perfect for a relaxed, wild elopement.
Doesn’t Jake look so dapper in his Hackett London ensemble?
That veil is so EPIC.
We can’t help staring at our Carter Gown—from all those lacy leafy details and that off-the-shoulder look with illusion lace. Too good!!
A Row Through the Turquoise Waters
How would you like to row through these turquoise waters with the love of your life?

Making our elopement the start of our Canadian adventure meant we could enjoy our honeymoon for 3 weeks as a married couple whilst sight-seeing, kayaking to Spirit Island, exploring the Banff and Jasper National parks.
What a day!! Congratulations, Bella + Jake!
Want to be whisked away to a Canadian national park? Take a peek at this clip from Ringtail Films:

photography: Terry Photo Co. // venue name: Moraine Lake Lodge, Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada // florals: Mountain Top Flowers // wedding dress: Lovers Society x Green Wedding Shoes 'Carter' // bride's shoes: Dune London // bride's ring: Baroque Bespoke Jewellery // groom attire: Hackett London // groom's shoes: Oliver Sweeney // groom's ring: Baroque Bespoke Jewellery // videography: Ringtail Films // handmade details: Mimi Wedding Box (ring box) // officiant: Dorothy Karlson
Absolutely breathtaking views and about as romantic of a setting as you can imagine. The turquoise water, seemingly endless sky, and the way the wind catches the bride’s veil is enchanting.
Ok WOW !
No words needed !
Where can I find what the officiant says? Some of the most beautiful words!
These photos are absolutely gorgeous! The venue is breathtaking. Those colors! Picturesque for any winter wedding or elopement.
Congrats to the happy couple!!
Heya, I’m the bride! I have the words as we asked the officiant to read them for us. It’s an Apache blessing.
Now you will feel no storms, for each of you will be shelter to the other. Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be warmth to the other; Now there is no loneliness, for each of you is companion to the other; you are two persons, but there is one life before you and one home.
Turn together to look at the road you travelled, to reach this hour of your happiness. It stretches behind you into the past. Look to the future that lies ahead. A long and winding, adventure-filled road, whose every turn means discovery, new hopes, new joys, new laughter and a few shared tears.
May happiness be your companion, may beauty surround you both in the journey ahead; and through all the years to come. Go this day to your dwelling place and enter into your days together. May your days be good and long upon the Earth. Your adventure has just begun.
Thanks :)
How can I recreate this for my fiancé and I lol it’s beautiful
Hello from the UK! I have really enjoyed reading this article and looking at these pictures. I had a couple questions if anyone at all can help:
1) what time/ month of year did you guys get married?
2) what sort of time? I know how busy the lake can get as we are thinking about tourists etc but did you do early morning or late afternoon?
Thanks 😊
