I’m super excited to share the wedding of one of my personal favorite bloggers – the lovely Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere! I met Emily awhile back at the BHLDN launch event and loved spending time getting to know her those few days. She really is just as lovely as you would imagine her to be and it was fun getting to chat about weddings since she had just gotten engaged. :) In fact, she actually tried on her first wedding gown (this lovely BLHDN dress) while we were there and looked so gorgeous in it! :) Emily is also sharing her wedding all week on her blog, so be sure to check in each day this week to read lots more about her details + great advice.
Emily choose to work with some of the most talented wedding artists to help design + capture her wedding! With photos by Max Wanger, design + planning by Bash, Please, entertainment by The Flashdance and cinematography by Shark Pig, she was in great hands for her day! One of my best pieces of advice for planning your wedding is hiring people you trust 100%. :) A bit about the inspiration behind her day from Emily: The inspiration for the day was simply to throw a great party for our friends and family. I know that almost sounds overly simplistic, but that truly was the most important thing to us. We let the location, a turn of the century mansion in Northern California, set the tone that was very elegant, but rustic.
The walk down the aisle. I purposefully didn't look around (seeing my friends would have made me emotional!) - so I just stared straight ahead at Geoffrey and found myself calm and really happy.
How sweet is the heart shaped lawn?!! So perfect for a wedding :)
Have fun and don't get too caught up in the details. It helps to prioritize what's important to you (for us it was food/drinks, great music, and a venue that had a nice flow to it). Then all of the other little details don't seem as critical.
And their gorgeous wedding film by Shark Pig!
Big congrats to Emily + Geoffrey! And be sure to check her wedding posts all this week over on Cupcakes and Cashmere!

So amazingly pretty! The venue seems perfect for such a sweet, down to earth couple! Thanks for sharing!
Such a beautiful location and couple! I love that it’s not satiated with STUFF. Just enough details to make it unique to the two of them…I really love that.
How stunning and insanely beautiful!! Everything is sheer perfection but then again, she’s one stylish lady!
This is so so beautiful. Fab setting and I absolutely love her dress. It’s stunning!
