Traci + Eric were married in Julian, California at Pine Hills Lodge. Traci is a country singer and country loving girl, so she wanted a rustic setting for their wedding, but she also wanted it to also be super romantic – love that combo! The details by Sitting in a Tree Events are simply stunning! A perfect balance between rustic + romantic. I’m totally head over heels for all the mirrors used as the ceremony backdrop where they had written portions of their vows – GORG!! Thanks so much to Rachel + Rico with Studio Castillero for the amazing photos and congrats to Traci + Eric!
From Traci, If I had only two words that I could use to describe my wants for our wedding, it would be “southern romance.” So often people think of country as picnic tables and hay rides. Though there is nothing wrong with that, I wanted it to be intimate, inviting and romantic. For a lifelong country music lover like myself, I wanted our day to feel like a country song – real, honest and emotional. Besides, it felt only natural to wear cowboy boots under my dress – I think anyone who knows me would agree! In terms of finding our venue? Well, finding a wedding venue is like finding a husband – when you know, you know! Go with your gut!
Well, for me - there were three. Standing before my now husband and exchanging our vows was one, my first dance with him to Neal McCoy's "No Doubt About It" (I'm a 90's country freak) and my tear filled dance with my dad. Those are the three images I flash on most when I think of our wedding day.
Big thanks to Aqua Vivus for sharing the sweet video they created for their day!
My advice is this - be authentic. Go with what feels like you. Don't get caught up in other peoples wants, opinions or that stack of wedding magazines you have piled high in your living room - you will make yourself crazy! Be in tune with who you are, what your relationship represents and allow that image to reflect through your day. This is your moment and the more "you" you put into it, the more uniquely "yours" your day will feel - and have fun, would ya!?!"
