Last month The Cream event took place at the Book Bindery here in Culver City, California. It was a blast and I’m super excited to share lots of photos with you all today – plus some of our fun DIYs we created for the event later today! The theme of the event was neon and it was so fun to see all the different interpretations with it. Big thanks again to the rad Bash, Please ladies for putting on such a fun + creative wedding event here in Los Angeles!
The table designs were so fun! The event designers were: Sitting in a Tree, Love & Slendor, Canvas and Canopy, and Enjoy Event Co. And the and floral artists were: The Little Branch, La Partie Events, Twig & Twine, Honey of a Thousand Flowers, and Botany
LOVED the display by Casa de Perrin – aren’t those glasses just so great!?
Super rad light installation by The Lighter Side (they did all the lights for the event).
And our table! We used neon colors and mixed in a bit of kraft paper for variety and to allow the color to pop. I love how our paper chains turned out. Such an inexpensive way to create a pretty cool backdrop for your wedding. We mixed up the sizes of the loops to give it a more fun + hip feel. Also really love how our neon string heart turned out and will be sharing the DIY for the heart and those fun vases later today! We shared our fun neon tip shoe DIY last week.
All photos above by Joielala.
LOVED the hanging lights from the first room with all the rugs – super dreamy!
Fun booths from fellow bloggers, 100 Layer Cake and Grey Likes Weddings!
I need some Geronimo Balloons for my next party – so super fun!
The photos above are by Aaron Shintaku.
Lots of great food + drink at the event including Whoa Nelly, Heirloom LA, Pharmacie, Swanson Wines, Forage, Dry Soda, Handsome Coffee Roasters, Sweet Lucies, Simplethings, Superfine Bakery, Sno-con Amor, Cool Haus

Photos below are by The Weaver House. Our fun sign was made with hot pink duck tape!
Lots of great fashion + accessories from BHLDN, ban.do, Twigs & Honey, Antiquaria, Heather Heron. Those super rad green peep-toe shoes below are from BHLDN. I’m pretty positive I need them!
Urbanic Paper Boutique had lots of pretty invites and Rue had a fun display also!
There was lots of great music throughout the event and the night ended with a dance party where the winning couple won a stay in Paris thanks to EA Honeymoons and Cobblestay! Music was by the Flashdance, Molly Jenson, the Get Down Boys and Dominique Pruitt. (bottom photo by Joielala)
Such a fun night! Be sure to head over to 100 Layer Cake where they are sharing lots more photos (different ones!) and check back later for our DIYs!

Hey GWS!
Love all the pictures, it looks like ya’ll had a great time.
I have one quick question, where did you find those crowned birds that are on your tiered cake? I saw them in a picture months ago and I’ve been searching for them for my big day on June 2nd!
Thanks for all the beauty that you post!
such an amazing event!
what the what the?!?!?! I’m dying at all of these images. The color and detail make me wish I was there so badly! Your paper chains are phenom and everything looks cray cray fun. Thank you for giving a little peak into the event. I hope Cream will come next year and you better believe I’m on board! I’ll probably share some of this and the DIY’s on the blog tomorrow. Can’t wait!
Y’all are too awesome.
