Yes, it’s a summer camp wedding in the wilderness. Yes, it’s a love letter to Latin America. Yes, it’s also a destination wedding in Greece. Dorita + George’s colorful, culturally rich celebration – a decade in the making – really did seem to do it all.
“Our wedding took place after ten years of being together, in a place that is very special to us and combines both the mountain and the sea,” Dorita + George say of their meaningful Grecian I do’s. “It’s a destination where we spend most of our summers and where many of our favorite memories were created.”
Event designer + planner Georgia of Pompon Story remembers how the couple picked their location: “Dorita and George tied the knot at Chorefto Camp, nestled along the wild coastline of Southern Pelion, Greece. Choosing a location deeply connected to their journey together, they transformed the camping landscape into a celebration inspired by their shared passion for Latin America.”
Konstantinos Art captured every chapter of the joy-filled day: the charming church ceremony on the windy streets of a tiny Greek town. The outdoor reception at Chorefto Camp where serpentine banquet tables sprawled and paper lanterns twinkled in the trees. And then a night full of music, dancing, and super cute reception looks.
“We paid great attention to every detail of our wedding,” Dorita + George share. “From choosing the date to selecting the colors, flowers, and décor, everything had to connect harmoniously and create a complete experience for both us and our guests.”
Oh, and the day’s color palette? Playfully romantic, high contrast brilliance. “Red flames flickered against turquoise accents, candlelight danced across textured linens, and the wilderness setting transformed into an intimate, soulful celebration of love,” Georgia recalls.
And incorporated into so many decor details was Dorita + Georgia’s beyond-romantic custom wedding emblem: “El mio para todo.” My everything.

The Ceremony
Rich red floral installations by Zelos Flowers dripped down the church’s facade.

Our Favorite Memory
The most memorable moment of our wedding day was when we finally saw each other at the church after being apart for two days. It was such an emotional and special moment for both of us.
Another unforgettable highlight was leaving the church together on a Vespa. It felt so “us” — simple, joyful, and a little adventurous — and it set the perfect tone for the celebration that followed.
“We met on a summer evening in 2015 at my restaurant,” George recalls of how he first fell for bride Dorita. “I started flirting with her that night, and that’s how everything started.”

The Reception
“Finding our wedding day attire happened quite spontaneously,” the couple remembers. “One evening in London, we had booked a hotel that happened to be right across from a wedding studio. The next morning, Dorita woke up early and decided to go in and try on a few dresses.
“When we returned to Athens, we scheduled a few appointments at bridal boutiques to continue the process and make the final choices based on the overall concept and location of the wedding. It was important for us that everything felt aligned with the atmosphere and style of the day.”

“At the heart of the design stood a monumental Mexican Sacred Heart,” Georgia said, “setting the emotional and visual tone for the day.”
But First: Snacks
“The reception began with a special welcome concept featuring street food cantinas and cocktails or prosecco, setting a relaxed and festive mood from the very first moment,” Dorita + George say.
“Guests were welcomed into a Latin American-inspired food festival, designed as an immersive prelude to the evening,” Georgia recalls of the night’s first bites by Nomade et Sauvage.
“Oysters paired with champagne, Palomas alongside freshly made tacos, ceviche served with Daiquiris, Cuban rhythms filling the air, and live cigar rolling created an atmosphere that felt almost too good to leave.”
“This place truly represents who we are as a couple,” Dorita + George say of Chorefto Camp. “Our relationship has always been connected to exploration, nature, and the sea. From simple moments like spending carefree summers camping, to enjoying meals at our favorite little seaside taverna, these experiences shaped the inspiration for our wedding day and made it feel deeply personal and meaningful to us.”

Dinner By Lantern Light

Obsessed with the way Dorita + George worked their initials and wedding motto into their custom table runners! “Throughout the evening, we incorporated small details that reflected our everyday life, our story, and our work,” the couple says, “so that our guests could recognize elements of who we are as a couple during the celebration.”
When in Greece: grappa! Grappa On The Road kept the local libations flowing.
“The dinner celebrated local Greek ingredients, prepared live to impress,” Georgia shares, “merging the authenticity of place with the vibrancy of Latin spirit.”
“We placed great importance on the choice of flowers, making sure they perfectly matched the venue and the overall decoration,” say the bride + groom.
“For us, selecting the right location was essential, as it had to align with our personality and the aesthetic we wanted to express.”
Let The Party Begin
“Beyond a velvet curtain, the reception dinner awaited, hidden from view until the perfect moment,” Georgia explains. “In a theatrical surprise, Dorita and George made their grand entrance by walking through the dinner space toward the welcome area. As the curtains parted, the full al fresco reception was revealed beneath a canopy of stars.”

“The music, the DJ set by Stavros Govas, the food, the bar, and the lighting were some of the most important elements of the reception,” Dorita + George say. “These are the details that truly shape the atmosphere and ultimately what guests will enjoy and remember the most.”
