Kara + Chris’ 20’s-style art deco wedding pulls inspiration from so many amazing + iconic aspects of the era – like speakeasies + The Great Gatsby! They were able to modernize the atmosphere + give the day a fun, personal twist by not making it too costume-y + incorporating some playful, whimsical details like their “censored” first kiss + glam, mismatched table linens. And I love that they included F. Scott Fitzgerald quotes throughout, as well as lots + lots of pretty candlelight! Along with their talented team of vendors, Kara + Chris were able to craft such a gorgeous day!
Thanks so much to Dixie Pixel for the stunning photography and, of course, big congrats to the newlyweds!
Kara is wearing one of my most favorite gowns, Eden by Jenny Packham. I can’t think of a more fitting dress!
LOVE that Kara’s ladies all wore a “Gatsby-style” dress of their choice…so fun!
When my husband was so nervous at the altar he was unable to remember the words he needed to repeat so I had to help him. It was so sweet because I have never seen him nervous!
The floral + even design by Whimsical Gatherings is truly stunning. Majorly loving the use of feathers throughout the arrangements + the deep red peonies are just breathtaking…
Make a list of what's the most important to you and do not stress over the rest. At the start, we prioritized what meant the most to us, and this was photography and decorations. Because we didn't want to worry about every little detail, we hired trusted vendors.

Beautiful! I love the total unique wedding, from the dresses to the flowers! Great pictures. Always remember how you felt this day :)
How fun! I bet the bridesmaids just loved their dresses…
The flowers and theme are beautiful.
What a wedding! I just love the sumptuous feathered flower arrangements, and the lighting in the group portraits is absolutely perfect. Best of all, it looks like a FUN wedding!
Wow! SO very stylistic I love it! Love the old look
What a fun and beautiful wedding! We love all the little details that pulled everything together from the gold antique hardware to the feathers in floral displays. And of course everyone looked fabulous!
I like it! Very nice!
Hi! I’d really like to know where the bridesmaids got their dresses, and who the label or designer is. PLEASE!
Any idea where the frames or the decals for the frames were purchased?
i LOVE this!! We are doing a similar theme for our wedding so I am drawing inspiration from this board!!! Where did she get those lovely picture frames from with the F> Scott Fitzgerald quotes? They appear to be chalk board signage but the poems appear to be printed on it! i LOVE them <3
The pictures are so unique and historical – from the lighting and room decorum to the gowns and tuxedos – everyone looks like they had a ball. Every time you look at them they should bring a smile and warm memories. Thanks for sharing.
