Whimsical Rainbow-Inspired Wedding: Inez + Greg

Not everyone can pull off a rainbow-inspired wedding, but hats off (big time!) to those who can! Like today’s adorable duo, Inez + Greg! I + G are a playful couple who wanted their wedding day to reflect their fun vibe. Says Inez, We wanted something bright, happy and colorful, but not over-the-top. Well we think that’s exactly what they created! And we’ve gotta point out that the Stow House in Goleta, California couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop for all the colorful, geometric-style details dreamt up by the two of them! (Just wait ’til you see!) Here’s a bit more about the inspiration + setting from Inez:

I have always been obsessed with rainbows and anything multicolored, so I loved this idea of a rainbow wedding. Why not pick all the colors? We weren’t sure if we could pull it off and had these doubts throughout the entire process, but things finally started coming together and we could start visualizing it. Many of the geometric elements were inspired by the rainbow prism paper we used to line the invitation envelopes. This whole process was really about taking small ideas and building off of them, and then building off of those new ideas. Ultimately, we just wanted a fun and colorful day of celebration with our closest family and friends!

Big thanks to Maddy + Felicia of I Heart My Groom for the gorgeous captures from the day + cheers to the happy the couple! :)

What really helped our vision come together was using burlap or natural, woodsy colors to help offset the pops of color. I could joke that Greg is like the burlap that complements my crazy rainbow – we balance each other out yet bring out the best in one another.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Seems like a no-brainer, but surround yourself with people who are going to help and support you leading up to and your special day – not stress you out. Whether it's helping with DIY projects, being a person to bounce ideas off of, or even just providing reassurance that things will be okay, your friends and family will help you keep your sanity and get things done! Coordinators are also an awesome idea!
