describe your artistic style:
Born from beginnings as a daily newspaper photographer, the style of my work has evolved around inspirations from editorial, fashion, and fine art photography.
what inspires you?
There are the everyday things that inspire me, such as my daughter's infectious laugh or a soulful glance from my beautiful bride. I am also inspired by the art in everything: the sun's afternoon glow on the Pacific, wonderful architecture, design with intent.
what do you love about weddings?
Beyond the outward symbols of your wedding celebration--dress, shoes, décor--is a simple story of two people who have opened up and decided to create one life together. The very nature of photographing weddings requires that two people let a complete stranger into their lives to create beautiful art and, for a time, be vulnerable. This--the basic act of sharing sacred territory for the sake of creating beautiful, timeless art--is why I love photographing weddings.
what's your travel policy?
I have had the honor of photographing weddings all over the world, from up and down the California coast to Europe, and many places in between. In addition to the wedding photography package, there is a nominal travel fee that covers travel, lodging, and miscellaneous expenses.
