I don’t typically share bridal portraits here on Green Wedding Shoes, but I just loved these lovely non-traditional bridal portraits Elsie of A Beautiful Mess had taken by Arrow & Apple. If you follow her blog, you’ve probably already seen her amazing DIY wedding – such an inspiring + creative wedding! For her bridal portraits, Elsie had found some really beautiful images from the 60’s of some women wearing scarves over their perfect beehives and so that was perfect inspiration. I really love these since I think they show that you can have your own style for your bridal portraits – they don’t have to just be photos of you standing with a bouquet.
For the second set, Elise created a pretty feather headdress to wear. It was inspired by one from her shop Red Velvet she had made called “The Tiger Lily Crown.” Elsie made a more fancy version of the piece with gorgeous pale pink feathers. It looks gorgeous on her + is such a fun way to include something handmade and definitely unique into the outfit!
Such a FUN bridal portraits! I agree they don’t have to be just “standing with a bouquet” photos. :)
Oooh, I love the different accessory pairings! My husband and I did something like this for our 5 year anniversary and we were so much more us!
Adorable! She looks like Zooey Deschanel :)
Too much love for this bride! Her dress is gorgeous
I totally agree with Monica, she reminds me of Zooey! She’s very pretty, love this shoot!
