Romantic Beltane Ranch Wedding: Daria + Jonathan

vintage truck

Oh, wine country! You’re just the prettiest. And so is Daria + Jonathan’s ultra romantic Beltane Ranch wedding, perfectly designed by Tori of Sitting In A Tree! These two wanted their wedding to have the feeling of a beautiful backyard garden party; relaxed, easy, and in a super gorgeous setting. And, as you’ll soon see, that feeling definitely radiates from their stunning images by Larissa Cleveland. Let’s hear more about the inspiration for the day from Daria:

Beltane not only has the most beautiful views of its vineyards, but the house itself has gorgeous lush gardens and lawns and this mossy tree that is just the most perfect thing you can imagine getting married under. For flowers, I wanted something that felt like autumn and wine country but feminine (and not orange!) and when I stumbled across Brown Paper Design’s website I totally fell in love with this TO DIE FOR combination of soft pinks and blushes and moody wine colors, and thought that totally was the palette for me. So much so that my dress ended up being a soft blush pink and the bridesmaid dresses a beautiful burgundy/wine color. And because Jonathan and I and both of our families were able to stay at Beltane it did totally end up feeling like it was our own backyard!

Our Favorite Memory From The Wedding

Reading our vows to each other. We had written a “story of us” reading that we had two of our friends in the wedding party read first during the ceremony. We had seen a couple do it at their wedding, and loved it as it allowed all the guests to feel a part of the relationship and understand the history. We wrote that together, which was a fun bonding thing to do and felt like we were really making the ceremony about us, but the vows we wrote separately and didn’t hear them in advance. I sobbed through mine, and Jonathan had every guest in tears and it was truly the best part of the magical night. Because we wrote our vows, the ceremony felt so personal.

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Don’t panic!! As my wonderful and oh so patient planner Tori can attest, I panicked a lot and it’s unnecessary because it all works out. And don’t forget about the ceremony. We saved that for last, and it ended up being the most special part and really set the tone for the rest of the night. Even though you may stress about the napkins (which I did!) it is the thing that people will remember most if it really is personal. Oh and if your venue has time restrictions make sure you have enough time for dancing!
