Rainy Summer Camp Wedding: Marea + Jed

deer wedding illustration

We have such a sweet rainy-day summer camp wedding to share with you today! Marea + Jed were married at the Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville, New York, where Jed attended camp as a child. They wanted to bring new memories to this very special place and host a relaxed + fun weekend in the woods with their guests, who mostly traveled in from out of state. I absolutely love the custom illustrations Marea + Jed created and included into their day. It’s such a clever idea to brand your celebration with a one-of-a-kind logo or design!

Thank you so much to Josh Goleman from The Wedding Artists Collective for the gorgeous photos and congratulations Marea + Jed!

I’m crazy about Marea’s woodsy bouquet! So perfect for the setting.

It was pouring rain all day, but once we started the ceremony, the sun broke through and started shining.

And how rad are these polaroid portraits of Marea + Jed?!

Don't let the stress of planning the wedding drive a wedge between you. If you start to feel tension, stop whatever wedding-related task you are doing and just spend time together. At the end of the day it is about you as a couple, not the invitations, or the food, or the place settings.

  5. Beautiful. Love the details and the flowers.

  6. I am in love with this wedding! Anyone know where I can find those ties???

  7. I Love your Wedding Invitations! My Fiancé drew a picture of us as a Walrus and Turtle that I would love to put on our invitations. I also love the wood grain look. I would like to know if you can remember what type of paper, color and size you used. Did you do the printing of the picture yourself? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much!

  8. This is so beautiful! I grew up in Livingston Manor, NY, which is very near to Claryville. I grew up passing by Frost Valley on weekends to attend pancake breakfasts with my late grandfather at the firehouse. Its a dream to create new memories in places like that from your past. And your advice at the end is wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
