Playful Georgia Farm Wedding: Missy + Sten

bride and groom

The design aspects of Missy + Sten’s playful farm wedding were inspired by the rustic surroundings of their Georgia venue, Vinewood Plantation, as well as their love of all things vintage! They knew they wanted to incorporate some seemingly common + stereotypical wedding details, like parasols, pinwheels + cowboy boots, but pair them with more unique + eclectic elements to give the environment a ton of personality. I’m super in love with the pretty, bright bouquets by Jennifer Hopkins and all of the sweet, antique furniture pieces + decorative elements that were incorporated into the design. So many lovely details to inspire those of you who are planning a day with a fun vintage vibe!

Big thanks to Matt Miller at Our Labor of Love for the super pretty photography and congrats to Missy + Sten!

Each of the bridesmaids picked the dress of their choice from EtsyModcloth, and Target and paired their frock with cowboy boots. Such a perfect, laid-back look.

One of the ways Missy + Sten put a twist on the traditional was by hanging paper parasols, in various shades + sizes, upside down over the head table. The end result is a totally playful + eclectic look, and a super easy DIY that has a lot of impact!

Our Advice To Those Planning Now

Surround yourself with good people that want the best for you. A support system is worth more than gold! Take it one task at a time, and try not to get too overwhelmed with the planning. Enjoy your big day, and try to take it all in because it goes by so fast! Also, focus on finding great wedding planners, a great dj, and great photographer - we did and it made all the difference in the months leading up to the event, the actual wedding, and the photos we have to cherish all of our special memories!
