Would you travel out to the sand dunes for an intimate elopement? This editorial *might* just convince you! Anna Criswell + her sister headed out to the Monacans Sand Dunes in Texas with their friends — Katelyn + Paden — and one serious vision. From a crushed red velvet dress, to mid-century modern accents, and gorgeous golden + white light, their vision DEFINITELY came to fruition.
Being Anna’s first styled shoot (which you’d never guess based on the pictures), she gathered all the resources. She tells us We pulled together some freakin’ awesome vendors & pulled A LOT of things from our home to achieve the vision we had set in our minds. For instance, the table is my home coffee table and the pillows all came from my bed!
Let’s head out to the desert and see how it all came together, shall we?
To complement the velvet red dress, The Rogue Rose put together this gorgeous textured bouquet, complete with red roses, eucalyptus, and touches of astilbe.
That gorgeous morning light! To set the stage, the team brought out patterned rugs and white pillar candles.
The couple exchanged the sweetest vows during sunrise that encapsulated exactly what the other needed to hear after 2 years of sweet marriage. I’ve known the two for so long, I started to choke up just listening to what they had to say about each other.
Hello cute tablescape!!
Isn’t this color combination simply stunning?! Crimson, sage, gold, and black? The pieces from Gold Dust Rentals made this so moody + so cool.
We’re drooling… Aren’t you?! Dripping in a caramel sauce and topped with blackberries + florals, this confectionary creation was crafted by Baked by Jaton.
We started shooting Katelyn & Paden around 5:30 AM for sunrise and it was about 30 degrees with winds of 25mph. We’d say getting up that early definitely made for some serious magic!
So beautiful…
We decided to cut loose after this and go sand dune surfing which was super cool until I did a barrel roll down the side of a hill…
Pure magic in the desert…
