DIY: Holiday Centerpiece with Mistletoe, Poinsettia & Garden Roses

DIY Holiday Centerpiece

Today we are excited to have Kiana Underwood of Tulipina share with us how to make a killer holiday centerpiece! Can you believe Christmas is next week? Here’s what Kiana had to say about this DIY:

“As a fairly non-traditional floral designer, I am constantly thinking of ways to buck tradition and design interesting things. This includes playing with color palettes and floral varieties that people may not associate with a particular season.

For this non-traditional holiday centerpiece, I found a lovely shade of garden rose, which helped to define the pink palette of this design. I also absolutely love the different shades of poinsettia that are available this time of year – such beautiful shades of pink, peach, and cream – in addition to all of the lovely reds. I added these as well. And finally, what would a holiday arrangement be without mistletoe?! Does it get anymore beautiful than those delicate and glassy little berries?

Don’t be afraid to be a little non-traditional in your holiday decorating this year – you may be surprised and pleased with what you create!”

Step 1: Begin with the geranium and dogwood fruit branches.

Step 2: Add the mistletoe. These will be the base of the arrangement, but you can add some more to reinforce their presence at the end.

Step 3: Continue with the euphorbia and poinsettia.

Step 4: And finally, I added the amaryllis and arranged all of my roses throughout the centerpiece.
