There are countless ways to incorporate art into your wedding day design + today we get to take a peek at what type of art inspires the design team at Francine Ribeau Events. For this editorial, they joined forces with L & S Design Co. to create a unique setting that’s filled with creative details + super stunning florals. From that DIY’d backdrop to the tablescape featuring a mix of urban + artful elements, let’s just say it’s bound to give you some great wedding ideas! We’re so glad Studio Castillero was there to perfectly capture this one!
From Francine, The inspiration of this shoot was based on the glory of Spring and a mixture of both abstract and impressionism art movements. With this in mind and San Diego Art Alive in the near future, we knew off the bat we wanted to create a massive 8‘x8x canvas backdrop adorned by real flowers, a living art wall. We chose our palette inspired by the Pantone spring colors of the year, bought house paint a few brushes and had at it. After a three day painting spree, we had our wall.
Your Pin It button is probably about to get a LOT of action! How stunning is that colorful bouquet? It predominately features poppies, ranunculus, tulips, amaranthus + fern.
The painted wall was brought to life once L & S adorned it with anemones, ranunculus, roses, and the like. By meticulously placing + adhering each individual flower into place, it really created a beautiful impact!
Such a cool tablescape, perfect for art lovers!
And this cake, by Hey There, Cupcake!, is a major fave!
Thank you so much to the talented team of creatives below for showing us how to beautifully incorporate art into our wedding + event design!

Beautiful shoot! A lovely theme for an indoor wedding!
I LOVE this shoot. All of the colors are amazing. I like the way the lighting is used on the couple with the paintings in the background- very dramatic. That cake is absolutely gorgeous. Can’t say enough good things about this!
I am in love with these pictures! Every single detail is perfect and beautiful. Great work!
I would love to learn how to create the DIY backdrop. Did you guys create a tutorial on how to paint it?
I am an artist and I would love to learn this technique.
Thanks,
