Happy Monday everyone! Today’s lovely wedding took place over the past Fourth of July weekend. What a fun weekend for a wedding – and such a gorgeous location! From Whitney, “I love the fourth of July. It’s my absolute favorite holiday. There’s that sense of home and getting together and patriotism that I just love. So I knew I wanted a fourth of July wedding, but I didn’t want to have it scream fourth of July but I did want it to be present. :)”
Thanks so much to photographer Ashley Rose for sending this sweet wedding my way!
Just LOVE Whitney’s veil by one of our awesome sponsors, Tessa Kim. And her hair in the fishtail braid – perfectly gorgeous Whitney!
When I first saw this submission, I was SO excited to see that Whitney was inspired from this DIY foodie post I created on including artichokes in your bouquet! I just LOVE how all the bouquets came out! The bouquets were created by Sugar Branch Events.
Such sweet favors! Whitney, her mother and her grandmother made all the jam from fruits on her grandmothers farm to give to each of her guests.
For the tables, Whitney collected vases, vessels, jars, tackle boxes, old fishing baskets, pitchers, watering cans, blue mason jars, old drawers, a random collection of coffee tins, medicinal jars and milk cans for Sugar Branch Events to plant flowers in! She choose to use all white flowers for everything, with the gorgeous white peonies being the number one featured flower.
What a yummy dessert table! The gorgeous cake was by Cakes to Celebrate and Whitney and her mother made the rest of the tasty desserts.
most memorable moment of the day? Sitting on the steps outside with my closest friends, watching the people you love have a good time…mission accomplished!
advice for brides planning now? Omg, don’t sweat the small stuff! By the end of it all you’ll just be so happy that you’re with your soulmate. :)
Big congrats to Whitney + Justin and thanks so much for sharing your wedding day with us!

This wedding is AMAZING. I love the patriotic theme, this is exactly what I would have done if I’d gotten married in the summer. Absolutely lovely! And i love the bride’s headpiece- definitely a new favorite.
First thought: OMG SHOES.
Then the rest lived up to that same reaction! I love the mix of vintage with homey-cuteness. SO pretty and nice!
Love the dress. Definitely putting the vases wrapped in fabric patterns in my back pocket for future use!

Oh my goodness, that’s about the most perfect wedding dress I’ve ever seen! And the rest of the wedding is super gorgeous too – love the cake table :)
Whitney looks amazing – the whole day looks fabulous. I love her advice to not sweat the small stuff: so true. I hear it time and again.
Then again – so much gorgeous small stuff here, I can see why a few little bits going ‘wrong’ wouldn’t matter – they’ve poured hearts and souls into creating a wonderful celebration and I’m so glad to hear it worked. That moment of sitting, watching everyone being happy must have meant the absolute world.
Thank you for sharing – what a beautiful celebration.

Love this dress! Anyone know the style name?
Beautiful! I love the Bride’s hair, the Bridesmaid dresses, the bouquets, and the cake!
I’m SO delighted to see a ‘frostingless’ cake featured here! I’m doing the same thing, and every bakery I go to, they say how unique and rustic it looks. Love the idea so much!
Such a beautiful wedding. The bride looks amazing. I love how the photographer has really captured the mood of the day.
And the blooms are so elegant, compliments the gown perfectly!
I love rocking the beehive, but I use fake hair that I put into a knee high panty hose that is close to my hair color and use that. You can also use cotton balls in a knee high as well. It is super easy, very comfortable and if anyone were to touch your hair they would never know you were hiding anything under there!
whitney your wedding was beautiful! <3 i hope iwill look as beautiful as you did :)
oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh – best bridal hair EVER! what an amazing wedding!!!

xo
Being a southern girl, I think that everything about this was was perfect! I especially love the bride’s dress & was just curious as to who made it?
Can anyone give me the style number or name of the Melissa Sweet dress Whitney is wearing? I have looked and looked and can’t find it. Thanks!!
WOW! I absolutely love the bride’s veil and all of the vintage details in the decor – so inspiring!
What time is the best time for the ceremony on July 4th? I’m having my wedding on that day this year, but having an issue with ceremony time. We are celebrating cookout style with barbecue and beer, but afraid if we have the short ceremony at 4pm, people won’t stick around for the fireworks when the sun goes down, 5 hours later. Was thinking 4pm because I still wanted people to enjoy their 4th during the day. I’m just afraid if I have it at 5pm or later then people will either not show, or show up drunk from other July 4th activities earlier in the day. Just wanting some input!! Thanks! :)
