As soon as this super fun shoot popped into my inbox, I was sold! I love the movie Amélie and I just saw Midnight in Paris this weekend, so I’m definitely in a Paris mood. :) I love how this talented team of vendors took elements from the film and reimagined them as integral parts of a beautiful, non-traditional wedding. The intense colors, the gnome, desserts, the photos and the whimsical love story are all seen here. I hope you enjoy!!
How perfect is that Save the Date?! And nothing Amélie inspired would be complete without the fantastic traveling gnome. They re-imagined his role at a honeymoon table where guests were asked to write notes for the couple to read on their honeymoon. Bon Voyage!
I love how Katie at Ooh La La Designs designed the bouquet using elements from the street produce market scenes in the movie. Katie made it work beautifully with ornate kale + artichokes in this bouquet. And of course the famous red Converse were an absolute must-have for the groom!
The adorable couple are a real life couple – aren’t they the cutest?!!
I simply love the bar setup that Night Owl Productions put together! It’s an ornate champagne bar with various mix-ins from fruit juices to blueberry simple syrup and fruit slices – yum!
Lovely invitation suite from Mintwich Design.
Because photos play such an important role in the film, they asked the guests to send a snapshot along with their RSVP card. They then torn them up and pasted them back together like in the movie and that was how the guest found their seat! How fun is that??!!
We all know Amélie loves raspberries because they’re fun to eat – and of course crème brûlée :).
Thanks also to Jakfoto Films for capturing the day…
Thanks so much to all these amazing vendors + I hope you are inspired – I know I am! :)
