Do you dream of road tripping up the coast of California? Perhaps stopping in Carmel, camping in Big Sur, and making your way up to San Francisco? Making that dream a reality by turning it into a love story editorial, Lanie of Lovely Bride invited Kari + Dylan to help her create an adventurous + free-spirited photoshoot, capturing their epic love. Lanie shares: We’ve done a number of ‘Give Love Stories,’ where we gift couples a shoot in one of our many locations across the country and have them play ‘dress up’ in our gowns. How special is that?!
As K+D live in San Francisco and together own 4 motorcycles and a Jeep Wrangler with a rooftop tent, it only made sense for their photoshoot to highlight their adventurous love story. The two of them tell us: We love to go camping and explore California on the weekends. Our friends call us “weekend warriors” which accurately describes our lifestyle. There is nothing like a camp breakfast with campfire coffee! We love all things Southwestern and collect ceramics… so naturally, they incorporated that overall soulful Southwestern vibe into their shoot, photographed by Lauren Nicole.
Now, let’s make our way to the coast! Prepare to be inspired…
Isn’t this dreamy?! Up and down the coast of California, you’ll find an array of different settings near the sea… some are lush with grass, while others feature craggy rocks, or pure sand.
Ow OWW! Kari absolutely stunned in that Alexandra Grecco — we’re seriously digging how the light catches the intricate beading.
Isn’t their style epic? We found out the two actually met while working at Vogue in New York; he was an Art Director and she was the Photo Studio Manager.
Kari spills: We love fashion as well, you can find about 20 different hats in our house. So, it came as no surprise to us when Dylan rocked this cool chapeau.
Can’t. Get. Over. This. Photo.
The Epic Adventure
And, of course, they had to bring in one of their (seriously cool) motorcycles for a few pics…
Hellooooo,Theia Couture jumpsuit! Who else is loving the trend of bridal jumpsuits? We’ve definitely seen an influx of them over the past year or two, and each one just keeps getting better + better!
So beautiful, you two! A huge thank you to Lovely Bride for sharing these photos with us!
We’re curious to know — where would you want to take “love story” photos with your partner? Whether it be engagement photos, anniversary, or just because… we want to know! :)
