Newly engaged and planning a fall wedding? Today’s inspiration comes direct from that autumn paradise known as the Pacific Northwest, where Karina (of Karina & Maks Photography) was determined to create a shoot of the less-traditional sort. From the overgrown arch, to the vintage tablescape, to that dazzling emerald gown – that costs less than $60!! – we can practically smell the apple cider brewing!
Karina filled us in on the details: Our goal was to capture the colors of autumn here in Oregon, one of our most beautiful seasons. We gathered as many leaves as we could harvest from our yard to create a nontraditional ceremony backdrop, using a circle arch to display the multitude of colors and textures. We also wanted to do something different with the wedding gown; who says you have to wear a white gown on your wedding day?!
Indeed! Let’s dive into the photos, shall we?
Where do we even begin with that bouquet from Jodi Beals?! The cascading foliage *might* just be our favorite part.
Really loving the smokey, sultry hair + makeup by Ilona Kobylinsky.
Real-life couple Joe + Maddie are bringing the romance AND the style with that emerald + black combo.
Did we mention that this dress is less than $60 from Windsor?! Juuust checkin’ ;)
We could see an arch like this working for both an outdoor and an indoor wedding. We love that Karina sourced the leaves and branches from her yard – such a great idea to save money on florals!
So, who else suddenly wants a pomegranate bouquet?!
Cute! Love that vintage flatware.
*Golden hour in the fall* Nothing like it.
Thanks to Karina & Maks Photography for sharing this beautiful day!
