Lialah + Daniel were married at Spring Creek Ranch in Collierville, Tennessee. Their wedding is full of whimsy and lace, peonies and balloons + so much more! And of course I just love her pretty lace tights and sparkly shoes. :) Lialah + Daniel really wanted to throw a big party and their goal was to make sure their guests had a great time, so they meticulously selected food that represented their tastes, including foods inspired by Lialah’s Indian heritage, a band that could rock oldies and new songs that would connect with all generations at the reception, and just made everything as fun and beautiful as they possibly could without making anything too formal. No tuxes and no fuss really. Just a good time and great reason to celebrate. Big thanks to the lovely Simply Bloom ladies for the photos and congrats to Lialah + Daniel!
I am a very opinionated designer and Daniel is great about supporting my ideas and letting me run with them so I took the lead on most aspects of the wedding getting his input in areas he cared most — food, cake, his attire, groomsmen attire and music. I gathered much of my inspiration from pinterest and I absolutely love all things vintage and wanted to select items that could be reused in our home after the event. We allowed both of these characteristics to inspire the details of the event. I collected old jars and silver vessels used in all the centerpieces. I also created an alter of sorts with a triptych of three vintage doors. I stopped by various antique stores on the hunt for anything I thought we could use in the wedding. Some great finds we utilized include vintage iron planters, baskets, an oversized wooden trivet used as our cake stand, and various odd pieces of furniture.
That is nearly an impossible question to answer honestly. It was all so fantastic I can’t forget all of it. You know how everyone says their wedding day was a blur. Well I truly do not feel that way. I recall so many small precious moments from the day. But I guess what really made the day perfect…would be my sweet husband telling me how spectacular our wedding was. I worked really hard to plan an awesome event that everyone would love including us, and the fact that he would have changed nothing about it really meant the world to me.
Just know what you want. Don’t waffle and waste time. Think about what is most important to you and go for it. We booked a venue the first weekend we looked. Once I saw it we cancelled other appointments and just went for it. We knew what photographers we wanted and their only available date was the only date we could get our venue too, so perfect. Oh and don’t skimp on photography, if it is important to you. That is a great area to splurge a little. Odds are you will not regret it. I know we don’t. And we can relive the day anytime through our fantastic images documenting the day. And lastly, do not worry about tradition. If you want to make your own rules, then go for it. It is your day and don’t let anyone tell you that you have to do it one way or another. It should really be up to the bride and groom when it comes down to it.

What a classy gown, and the balloons are great!
I’m not Indian, but I’d still get mehendi for my wedding. Kuddos to her! It looks wonderful!!
Lialah kind of looks like Sarah Jessica Parker!
wow! stunning! so many details to love!
Where did you buy your dress? I know it is nearly impossible to get it in the USA.
It is impossible to get it in the US. Luckily I have an aunt in London who is exactly my size and has amazing taste so I totally trust her. She went to the Collette Dinnigan boutique there and tried it on for me and said it was incredible and that I had to get it. So we ordered it without ever seeing it in person or trying it on. The fit was perfect only alterations were to the hem. So glad I got it because every other dress I saw paled in comparison to it!
I feel the same way! I have been lusting over this dress for months and have been stalking Australia’s ebay hoping I can get my paws on it. Any plans of selling yours? :)
Unfortunately no, I bought it with the intention to get the long skirt removed (and save it of course) after the wedding and put a shorter one on so I could wear it again and again :) Good luck with your hunt though! The boutiques will ship it if they still have it in stock for you!
Where did you find your stockings?? My reception is in October and I have been searching everywhere for some like these.
Llahalah–I’d love to know how your guests found the visibility with the balloons on the aisles. It looks incredible and really gives height to the venue–mine, also outdoors, seems like it might feel quite flat and small compared to the mountains we’ll have all around, so I love the idea of “building up” with balloons. My only concern is whether anyone will then complain the couldn’t see. Would love to know if that was an issue for you at all. Thanks so much, and really, what a gorgeous, gorgeous day!
LOVE the bride’s and flower girl’s dress, and the balloons decorating the ceremony!
I LOVE the beautiful bouquet of flowers! The shoes were unique and pretty!
I. Love. Everythingaboutthis. Beautiful job by everyone! And DANG that bride is stunning!
Love the barn and the French Macaroons!!!
Wonderful pictures. I love the henna tatoos, they’re a very personal touch to the bride’s outfit and make-up.
Congrats!
Gorgeous wedding! I LOVE the balloons! How did you get them to stand so straight without blowing around in the wind?
lovely arrangaments specially the ones for the ceremony.
I am normally not a fan of balloons at weddings, but I think these are sweet. They add a whimsical element without being cheesy, and the muted tones are perfect. Love love
I saw the balloon decor on Pinterest (and pinned it lol) and I find the actual wedding here! The bride is absolutely gorgeous!!
I agree! Those balloons are so elegant – well, really, the whole day is just gorgeous!!! Beautifully styled and I think those shoes are the best I’ve seen yet! :)
Love the dress! It’s all class <3
Where did you get those balloons? I just love them! My daughter is getting married in November, and is keeping the decorations pretty simple. I think these would add just enough, to make it not so plain.
I love this wedding! It’s so close to where I live, too. Simply Bloom is one of my favorite photographers around here, and they did a fantastic job capturing this gorgeous wedding. I might even borrow the balloon idea from Lialah for my own wedding!
I love so much of what you did, the colors, the decor is all truly beautiful. I am thinking of doing a similar thing with my groom and groomsmen but am unsure where to rent or purchase affordable tan vests and matching pants. Where did you ask your groomsmen to go?
The groomsmen’s attire was from express. They got to keep the pants and vest for the same price as rentals would have cost and we gave them the ties as gifts and asked that they just wear white shirts. Hope this helps!

I SOOOOO totally agree with your statement! I splurged on my photography, even flying him from DC to Memphis and I don’t regret spending a single cent! We relive our wedding day every time we look back at our album!!!! Congratulations on your beautiful wedding!!!!!
Lialah,
Where did you get the purple rosette dress for your flower girl? This dress is adorable and I’ve looked everywhere on-line without any luck. A pointer from you will be greatly appreciated!
That dress was from J.Crew. I always adore their children’s clothes! Check out their site for this season’s styles.
What a gorgeous wedding, venue, decorations, cake, dress, bride, everything. The photos capture the beauty of the day. Love it!
Loving the shoes and so many pretty details to take inspiration from
I love the balloons!!! I was wondering if you could give me some information as to where you found those and if they were difficult to use??? Would be so interested our outdoor wedding location doesn’t have a view or anything and I was trying to find something to give it some visual interest. I think this would be great!
Hi Tracy, You can find these giant balloons in The GWS Shop! http://greenweddingshoes.com/product/giant-balloons/ — they are easy to use, but you should have them filled the day of the wedding as they do deflate faster than normal balloons.
