With one look at those floor-length floral bridesmaid dresses above, we knew we’d be smitten with Bette + Blake’s big day. These guys tied the knot at Kiawah Island Club – off the coast of South Carolina – and their wedding was filled with gorge florals (thanks to Sara York Grimshaw) and so many stylish, fun touches throughout. They also put emphasis on really great music that would ensure their guests would party their hearts out! Between the beautiful environment and B + B’s conscious decision to let the day unfold naturally + stress free, it all sounds like a recipe for an incredibly good time to us!
Bette says, Our vision for our wedding weekend was to create an organic feel that would inspire epic partying and infectious love … a damn good time was had by all and the love we felt flowing in all directions was truly life changing. We knew we would have a large wedding given both of our families are on the small side of massive so we did our best to create the intimate feel we had hopes for despite the large guest list. We tried to keep our focus on inspiring an infectious feel of love and celebration throughout so that our family and friends would feel uplifted. We will be forever grateful to all of our incredible vendors for making us feel as if we were their only wedding of the year and to our truly amazing family and friends for allowing us to feel a love so strong it still takes our breath away.
Let’s check out how designer Ellen of WED brought Bette + Blake’s wedding vision to life in Caroline Ghetes‘ gorgeous images below…
Blake surprised Bette with the most thoughtful gift: a gold bracelet inscribed with some of her favorite Mumford & Sons lyrics.
What a dream to be married underneath such a pretty, floral-adorned arbor!
Processional: Stubborn Love – The Lumineers + The Cave – Mumford and Sons (Both Instrumental Versions)
Recessional: Home – Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (String Quartet Version)
First Dance: Not with Haste – Mumford and Sons
Guys, we seriously can’t get over these dresses (can you?)! The ones pictured here are from Show Me Your Mumu (as well as a variety of eBay finds) but don’t sweat it if you want to see what else is out there for floral print gowns for your best gals. We pulled together a round up of our current faves featuring this super fun trend:

What a perfect, wild bouquet!
A few closing words from Bette + Blake, The LOVE we felt our wedding weekend from all of our family and friends was like nothing either of us have ever felt before. We will strive to hold onto that feeling for the rest of our lives. We thank our amazing family and friends for allowing us to feel such a crazy, crazy love and are beyond grateful to each and everyone one of our vendors for their incredible dedication to bringing our vision for intimacy mixed with wildness alive.
Congrats, you two! And all the best from GWS!
