Twinkle, twinkle, little star… How we ADORE all that you inspire! Lately, we’ve been seeing quite the influx of celestial-inspired themes, and quite frankly, we can’t get enough! From ones that focus on the crescent moon, to others where the bride rocks a star-covered dress, each and every design detail is out of this world!
Wanting to incorporate both celestial and botanical elements, photographer Alex Gray designed today’s gorgeous editorial, which took place at Claytor Nature Center’s observatory. Complete with Spanish moss, tons of wispy air plants, and just a touch of magic, we can’t imagine anything better on this planet (too far? We know, we deserve a *gold star* for all of our *down to earth puns*.)
Ready to see all the stunning celestial details? Don’t worry, you don’t need a telescope for this one!
Whimsical with flakes of gold and lots of gray tones, Etui & Co definitely crafted the perfect invitation suite for this theme!
We’re *over the moon* for these Sam Edelman heels!
This rockin’ ring is by none other than Rebel & Rogue Jewelry. Love the idea of sporting a colorful ring, rather than a diamond? Take a look at some of our faves for inspiration!
Air plants GALORE + tons of texture. Did you expect anything less?
A side sweeping braid by Jessica Comiskey Hair Design paired perfectly with that bold lip and lush lashes done by Laci Fore Makeup Artistry! Plus those moon + star hair clips?! LOVE!!
The groom sported a charcoal flecked blazer from ASOS and a sleek black t-shirt for an edgy, but formal look.
Aren’t the billowing lace sleeves on that Seni Dey gown remarkable?
Because what better place to have a “starry night” theme than at an observatory?

Want to hear a fun fact? Alex Mari Photography shares: As awesome as all of the details were, nothing can compare to the proposal that Trey surprised Nicole with at the end of the shoot! When we wrapped up, he pulled the styled ring from her hand and put it into his pocket. Nicole was so confused until Trey knelt down on one knee with a gorgeous engagement ring and asked her to spend forever with him. It was such a precious moment and made the day magical for all of us. You’re looking at a future bride and groom, folks!
How pretty is that combination of the Spanish moss + the embroidered table numbers What Katy Did Next created?
Layers of gray cheese cloth, sumptuous textures, and hues of gray came together to create this extraordinary tablescape.
Would you take a look at those darling moon details… too cute!!
This cake Alex Mari created is topping our charts for 2018! We’re all about the geode design, especially with the addition of the coppery gold foil!
The stars definitely aligned for this editorial… so glam, so cool!
