Spoiler alert: You don’t have to travel to Italy or France to get married in a vineyard and share world-class wine with your family and friends! Some of the best wineries in the world are right here in California. Julie and Chris knew right away when planning their wedding that Sonoma was the place to be. The two chose Viansa Winery as the backdrop to say they I Do’s – and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Wedding planner Elise Brannan of Brannan Events & Design met with the happy couple to discuss their wedding goals. The theme chosen? A jewel-toned boho design! Each detail was thoughtfully crafted to make something unique to the couple, and a pleasure for all guests to enjoy. Photographer Annamae Photo breathed life into every photo captured from Julie and Chris’ wedding. Let’s break down the details of their beautiful day!
Boho Jewels

These super-cute wedding invitations by Rida Blue kicked things off just right! Guests were granted a sneak peek into some of the shapes and colors they would be seeing on the day of the wedding. As well as a little hint about the disco integration!

The bride and her best girlfriends got ready together in the cutest boho robes! If you like these, you’ll love our roundup of some of the cutest wedding robes on the market!

Julie’s bridal look was a sight to behold! The beautiful bride wore a strapless A-line wedding gown by Riki Dalal and the perfect hat to top it off.
I honestly went in telling myself no princess gown or strapless. I was very fixated on a trumpet style and boho lacing. I went to two bridal stores and had no luck but became more open-minded when I couldn’t find anything I liked. I went to Riki Dalal with my sister in Walnut Creek and honestly loved every dress that I tried on there. I knew in my gut I might have found the one. I customized it with additional glitter tulle to add extra sparkle when the sun shines on the fabric

Vineyard Vows

Processional: Language (Piano Cover) by Porter Robinson
Recessional: Better Half of Me by Dash Berlin
First Dance: Lover (First Dance Remix) by Taylor Swift

The happy couple stared lovingly into each other’s eyes as they said their vows.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Hoang!

Chris and Julie wandered into the depths of the vineyard for a little solo time after officially becoming husband and wife.

Look at that amazing ring! This might be a contender for one of the prettiest wedding rings we’ve ever seen.

A Glass or Two of Wine

The entryway to the reception space included the most delicate wedding signage printed with the names of the bride and groom.

How cute are these escort cards?! The textures of both rattan and crochet make this the ideal boho seating chart.

Look at this reception space! The blush tones of the tablecloths looked immaculate against the green vines and rolling hills. Wishbone chairs were the perfect, elegant touch.

Remember to always stay on theme! These boho raffia palm fans make for the perfect table number displays.

Our advice is to enjoy the planning process! It could be overwhelming but don't approach it as if it's a chore. You are a team, so if you ever run into a problem, remember to compromise. Also, if the budget allows, highly recommend a wedding planner. It was money well spent! Our wedding planner, Elise, was the best!!

We’re absolutely loving this pink wedding cake by Flour & Bloom!
Pro Tip: Remember never to use store-bought flowers on your wedding cake! These flowers contain pesticides and chemicals that are harmful to consume or have on food. Always trust your baker to add on edible flowers.

Julie changed into the most amazing gold sparkling dress for the reception! You look fantastic, Julie!
We have the 2 most memorable moments!
Our first dance...it was just magical! The sun was setting and we were dancing under the bistro lights. We embraced each other, sang, and danced along to "Lovers' by Taylor Swift. All the stress leading up to our wedding just melted away at that very moment.
It was just us two dancing into our next chapter.
"Waiting for Tonight" by JLo started and the first pair of our wedding party enters the reception dancing their heart away when the speakers blew out within 5 seconds. We had them restart since they worked so hard on their choreography but only to have the speaker blow out again! Our DJ fixed the electrical problem and they were such troopers and agreed to go again. 3rd time is the charm!!

Congratulations to Julie and Chris on entering this exciting new chapter of your lives!
