We’ve got no shortage of wedding ideas for Star Wars fans (truly, there are some good ones), but today’s inspiration takes it to the next galactic level. It’s no spoiler to say that Rey + Kylo Ren (aka Ben) didn’t end up married in the films…but what if they would have? We’re doing a little fan service with this epic wedding and imagining a different kind of ending for the passionate young pair! I’ve seen multiple wedding ideas for Star Wars fans, but nothing based on the latest trilogy. I love Rey and Kylo’s strong personalities and how their stories intertwine throughout the series. As a wedding photographer, I couldn’t help but wonder…what if they got to be together after the credits rolled? I wanted to do both a light and dark look for Rey because who could guess which way she might go for her wedding day?!
Our stand-ins for Rey + Ben just happen to be big fans of Star Wars themselves—who were celebrating their 10-year anniversary! So perfect, right?

A Star Wars Wedding Ceremony
For the ceremony area, the team took inspiration from Padme and Anikan’s wedding. Fun fact, it’s the only wedding in the series! And quite beautiful, at that. Maleana Gardens was the perfect location for our Rey + Ben.
The Happy Haku florals crafted some seriously cool “light and dark” arrangements for the day.
A Star Wars Bridal Look
The white gown from ASOS was totally on-point for Rey with that drapery in the back! And Whik’d Hawaii recreated the classic 3-bun look with a bit of a messy boho twist.
Some of the best Star Wars wedding ideas for fans of the series have to do with puns! Because, let’s be honest, this glass is amazing.

You can’t rule the galaxy without a throne! These ornate from Ambient Rentals are perfection.

“When We Touched Hands, I Saw Your Future”
After the ceremony, things took a turn for Rey! She slipped into a darker look with a black wedding dress from Masako Formals as they ventured off to a dramatic cliffside. As for Kylo, he’s feeling more like himself in that black cape.
We’d probably turn to the dark side for this look, too.
