about us
We are The Lighting & Sound Company. We’ve been told that our name is a bit simplistic, and that’s exactly how we like to keep things. Our design team offers a no-nonsense approach with no upsells, no below-the-line or hidden fees, and a down-to-earth staff of motivated technicians. We are a full-service production company that provides lighting, audio, video, drape, and fabrication services to events of all types and sizes. Our experienced team is made up of classically trained designers, technicians, and operators who have setup up thousands of events in hundreds of venues all over the country. The Lighting & Sound Co. was originally formed in Richmond, Virginia as Translucent Entertainment Technologies, primarily aimed at serving the corporate meeting AV and concert lighting and audio production side of the industry. Owners Jonathan Blake & Dylan Adams eventually decided to expand to cover the entire industry, and form a smaller department within the company to serve smaller intimate events such as weddings. In 2014, we rebranded as The Lighting & Sound Co. (LSC) and brought successful entrepreneur Logan Adams in as a third owner to manage the operations side of the company. Logan’s mission has always been simple: keep overhead low, keeping costs low for our clients while still providing the highest quality available on the market. Our dedication to our clients and our passion for our craft is even stronger today than the day we started. We serve businesses, organizations, churches, and individuals all over the country, providing production for events as small as weddings and as large as the US Presidential Debates.
