about us
The Greenery at McKenzie’s Farm is a venue unlike any other. Inspired by spaces like Magnolia and Napa, The Greenery is a blank canvas that can suit any event and vision. Situated 90 minutes north of Boston, 45 minutes north of iconic Portsmouth NH and an hour west of Portland, ME. The Greenery is a labor of love and research into what our favorite wedding planners, stylists, and photographers want and need in venues. A barn, we are not. There is little that is rustic about The Greenery. The exterior has a very Joanna Gaines inspired look with board and batten off white siding, black framed windows and a dark gray metal roof. The interior is the epitome of a blank space, with off white walls and ceilings. The lighting fixtures in the main event space have been handpicked with our design team to blend and disappear with whatever styling the client chooses. Dimmers, locations of outlets, and ambiance accents are thoughtfully mapped to better serve you- our event designers. The back of The Greenery has been engineered to hold a wall of windows, floor to ceiling, which brings the outdoors in, but still remains neutral. We can’t contain our excitement for what this will look like during peak foliage season. Two, separate landscape architect firms were commissioned to design the surrounding grounds of The Greenery so that during each week of spring/summer/fall there is full bloom potential and ample photo ops. A private apple orchard was meticulously planted directly abutting the patio which would serve as an amazing backdrop for a tent or outdoor ceremony. The parking lot as well as the private bride/groom patios each have full landscape plans set to tie the entire property together. Space for an outdoor ceremony is at your discretion- whether its in one of the surrounding fields near the venue itself or on another location on the farm property. If your wish is to have a tent, The Greenery’s property can fit one regardless of size and shape. ● 225 guests ● Parking on site ● 6500 square feet ● Bride and Groom suites on site ● Bathrooms ● Private apple orchard ● Outdoor patio ● Multiple fire places ● Outdoor fire pit ● Indoor and outdoor bar ● White interior ● Ample power to support band/DJ/lighting ● 3 day rental included ● Kitchen prep space ● Numerous photo ops ● Full glazing wall of windows with a forest backdrop ● Curated lighting fixtures to blend with any event styling ● Vendor parking and drop off ● Handicap accessible ● Full access to McKenzie’s Farm property and its orchards for photography ● Full wedding planning required for clients

our approach / working with us
When dreaming up The Greenery, it was evident that there was a major void in the market for a venue such as this. The Greenery is truly the work of many hands, many ideas, and discussions. Being in the wedding and fashion industry for over two decades combined, the founders of The Greenery knew the importance of a great, blank space. Partnering with dozens of wedding vendors and creatives in the surrounding area, The Greenery is a culmination of design expertise wrapped up in over 6,500 square feet of potential for your wedding experience.

why we love weddings
When you know, you know. Ya know? We knew weddings would forever be a part of our lives. We also know the potential that a venue can have. It can make or break a vision. Creating a space with no boundaries, no set menu, no set linens and decor, and no cookie cutter aesthetic was something that we KNEW we had to make. The most unforgettable weddings are the ones with the smallest and personal details. Ones with aspects that are unique to only you and yours and ones that are unable to be recreated. The Greenery was a dream to design and we cannot wait to see what your dream looks like. The Greenery at McKenzie's Farm is set to open September 2019 . We are gladly accepting reservations for September/October 2019.
