Who else is ready to ring in the new year…in style?! Taking inspiration from “The Great Gatsby,” Coco and Ash Weddings and Events + Orange Trunk Vintage Styling and Rentals crafted the coolest 1920s-inspired editorial—perfect for a New Year’s Eve wedding, or you know, just a seriously fancy holiday party!
From the checkered floors to the painted floral murals to the glam details, there’s no shortage of style + extravagance at the Calcutta Cricket Club! The photographer behind the whole thing, Nikki Collette Photography, shares: Unlike the elusive love between Daisy and Jay in the novel “The Great Gatsby,” we wanted to paint our own ending on the classic tale that boasts extravagance, style, and glamour. In our version of the story, it’s as though James and Grace have slipped away from their guests for the grandest celebration of the hearts. A marriage for the couple who aren’t afraid of the intimacy of two but want to keep both the party and elegance grandiose.
Let’s proceed to the (intimate) party, shall we? Grab a glass of champagne (or two)…
Black and white rounded out the palette, with tons of gold sprinkled in…because, of course!! How elegant is this invitation suite by Debbie Wong Design?
Joanna Bisley Designs earrings were a necessary addition to add a bit of vintage sparkle!
Hellooooo, anemones! Such a perfect flower for a mainly black and white palette, don’t you think? Florist Hen and Chicks sprinkled in a few other white blooms and seeds for texture, plus a splash of greenery, for good measure.
Glam from head to toe! Top Knot Brides captured the feeling of 1920’s elegance and glamour with a bold red lip and swooping curls.
As for the groom’s dapper ensemble? It’s from Ed William Mens Wear.
An antique bar cart + scotch…and champagne with rock candy, because why not?
Dinner in the Lounge
Who else wants checkerboard floors in their home?! The way they tie this whole look together is so, so lovely.
And the table was set for the two sweethearts with luxe pieces from Orange Trunk Vintage Styling and Rentals!
For the couple that is dapper + darling…how delicious was this?! And, might we add, doesn’t that creation from Yvonne’s Delightful Cakes look absolutely divine?
Cheers to you + the team that created this gorgeous editorial!
