Christine + Alan fell in love when they were 14 years-old, but went their separate ways after high school. Little did they know, they’d reconnect and end up at the Sands Hotel & Spa (where tropical pink dreams come true) to celebrate their marriage!
In collaboration with designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, the Sands Hotel & Spa was conceived to be the first designer boutique hotel in Indian Wells, CA (about 30 minutes from Palm Springs). The stylish, bold + Moroccan-inspired design made for a stunning setting for C + A’s vintage glam wedding. If you don’t get lost in the beauty of the spa where Christine got ready, you are sure to flip over the cool vibes in The Pink Cabana restaurant reception.
When thinking of inspiration for the day, Christine tells us: As high school sweethearts, our wedding was a mixture of all the things we love. From classic retro music to Davis Bowie being our first dance; we tried to make our wedding special + full of symbolism that pertained to different highlights in our relationship.
We won’t delay any longer – it’s time to flamingle with C + A through the visual story from their photographer Mary Costa:

A Glam Bride
Va-va-voom! Christine is an artist with some major love for vintage style, so it’s only fitting that both her wedding gown + reception dress were vintage pieces. C tells us about finding her dress: I knew that I wanted a classic vintage 1950’s wedding dress for the ceremony. It was incredibly hard to find one that I liked. So many of the 50’s dresses had long lace sleeves and high necklines- which I knew I didn’t want! In addition to not liking many of the cuts, the sizing was always way off. As fate would have it, I checked Poshmark on a whim, and found the most perfect vintage strapless, sweetheart bust wedding gown. The Chantilly lace was beautiful and the dress was in perfect condition. It was about an inch too small, but I was able to let out the seams and make it work! The dress was only $120.00. I felt like I hit the jackpot!
Tropical pink bubble gum dreams come true! We cannot get over this juicy, pink bouquet and florals from Arrangements Floral + Party Design!
Would you rock an incredible hair comb like this from BHLDN? Crystal droplets illuminate the tips of a delicate golden vine + pairs perfectly with C’s vintage curls.

Let Them Eat *Pink* Cake
Everything we love in a wedding cake: pink frosting, tropical flowers, macaroons + flecks of gold!
Two bridal looks! We love it. Especially the golden, pearly embellishments on this stunning sheer cape from BHLDN. Vintage-inspired + beautifully styled.

Don't compromise little details. It's overwhelming when planning, however if you have a vision
stick to it! It is all so rewarding to see all of your hard work come together in the end.
When you can’t go back to the 1950’s, just come back to C + A’s tropical dream-of-a-wedding day! Congrats you two – from GWS.
