Happy Friday, friends! We couldn’t think of a better way to get this day started than with a cheerful, colorful styled shoot sent over by the Florida-based design house, Love in Vintage. The first thing that drew us to this pretty editorial, captured by Michelle March Photography, was the fact that this team wasn’t afraid to mix and match patterns. Layering colors + textures is one of our fave things, and we’d love to see this approach used more often at weddings and events! And summertime just seems to beg for happy hues + unique design, right?!
Those punchy, patterned outfits would be so fun for a whimsical bridal party and wait until you see the tablescape brimming with playful, pin-worthy design elements! So much goodness to love + be inspired by!
Digging the groom’s fun attire (J.Crew + H&M finds) and that sweet polka dot headband for the bride!
From Yesy of Love in Vintage, For the tablescape we chose a mixture of patterns: A bright floral print table runner, white and black polka dot napkins, and bird print plates. I used lemons and kumquats for a “pop” of color. The floral arrangements were an assortment of bright colored garden roses, peonies, spray roses, dianthus green balls, and ranunculus in milk glass vessels and small brass bud bases. Guests’ names were tied to a small glass bottle filled with fun confetti. For a whimsical touch, I added the bird candleholders from Anthropologie.
These cakes are pretty amaze, right?! The patterned, paint-like look is just so fun!
