I love this idea for a fun Valentine’s Day Engagement Party! The inspiration for this shoot is the real life newly engaged couple – Reena + Jody. Reena works in PR in the music industry and is passionate about music, so Weddings & Parties by R/S used vinyl records, strong bold colors and silhouettes as the key decor items along with the bold colors of red + magenta. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day Engagement theme.
From the stylist, “The first thing that we did when styling this shoot was buy two ban.do heart pins. These affordable little gems, which the couple of honor each donned, could bring so much pizazz to a party and helped inform the rest of the choices we made! To balance feminine details we brought in the removable MUR wall decals! These are the most fun to work with and oh so versatile! We loved the result of pairing the stirrers with the black and white striped straws and vintage glassware. We chose simple carnations in red and magenta and popped with yellow craspedia. Carnations are so lovely in arrangements of all the same color.”
The silhouette artwork above the mantel is of our couple of honor and we continued the silhouette theme with the drink stirrers, made by printing mini silhouettes onto card stock and using a round hole punch to make even circles.
I’m totally loving the graphic background they created with decals from Walls by Mur – and the best part? They are removable.
Thanks so much to all these creative artists for sharing their talents with us today!

I love the how they’ve really modernised this Valentine’s party!
The removable background is a great idea, to easily jazz up any party and maybe even to add a theme to an event, without any mess – genius! :D
