When dreaming up the vibe for their wedding day, city dwellers, Ellen + Bruce, were inspired by the idea of turning a modern, industrial space into an “urban fairytale” filled with greenery, florals and a cozy indoor-garden feel. Well, spoiler alert, they totally pulled it off, and we have all the photos + details to prove it! Ellen explains, We loved the idea of pairing the grittiness of a warehouse with the etherealness, romanticism, and moody soft colors found in stories. When we found Blanc (in Denver, Colorado) and saw the combination of exposed brick and open white space, (not to mention the walled in outdoor space with a small grove of trees and crazy vines growing everywhere!) we both knew it was perfect. We couldn’t wait to get in there and just hang things everywhere…and that’s what we did!
We know their day will inspire other couples who are dreaming of transforming a blank space into an ideal wedding setting, and we think you’re going to fall for every last detail below that Ellen, Bruce and their designer/planner, Cammye with We Tie The Knots, came up with to make the day unique. We could definitely go on for a while about all the prettiness, but think it’s better we let the stunning images, captured by Our Love Is Loud, do the talking!
Ellen’s bridal look would be so, so perfect for upxoming fall or winter weddings! She wore the Watters WTOO Agatha dress from Emma and Grace topped with a lace coverlet Dahlia topper from BHLDN.
The bridesmaids look gorgeous in BlushFashion dresses paired with faux fur wraps, and all the ladies carried romantic bouquets and wore pretty flower crowns by Lale Floral to complete their look!

Right when we said our vows, a very light snow started falling. It was a totally surreal moment.
Weather in Denver can be totally unpredictable and we had joked so many times about it snowing on our wedding day. And then we couldn't believe it when it actually did! While we were getting ready, there was snow falling outside over the city, and it made the day even more magical. Instead of moving the wedding inside, we provided mulled cider, blankets and umbrellas for our guests, and wraps for the bridesmaids. The unexpected weather made our wedding day more unique and memorable, and we loved it.
We’re big believers in small local businesses, so we sourced everything—from the table rentals, to the local beers and Stranahan’s whisky, to the small batch cheeses for cocktail hour—as locally as we could.
We rented beautifully rugged farm tables from a local company called Old Wood Soul, a Lyons, Colorado based husband and wife team who crafts their tables by hand using reclaimed beetle-kill wood. We paired them with an over-the-top greenery installation with hanging teardrop candles from Lale Floral to bring a little bit of “fairytale” inside the venue. Lale also created a jaw-dropping ceremony installation outside by hanging foliage, Spanish moss, floral, and lanterns from the trees. It totally took my breath away.
Ellen + Bruce served an epic array of desserts including a cake + cupcakes by Church of Cupcakes, macarons by Honey B’s, chocolates from Chocolate Lab, homemade treats baked by Ellen’s mom and late night donuts from Voodoo Doughnut. All we can say is y-u-m!
Ellen: Everyone will have advice for you—try to take it with a grain of salt and do what makes you (and your person) excited. It was so rewarding to see everything come to life on our wedding day, and feel like the event was really “us”.
Bruce: Make sure to have fun with the process and, obviously, the day. People told us that guests wouldn’t notice the details, but they were wrong. Going the extra mile on the little things was worth it.

Wow…stunning. Simply stunning. I got the chills when I read about the snow falling during their vows! A dream of mine! Too bad it doesn’t snow in SOCAL :(
Those food truck menus are to die for! It’s such a small details, but it isn’t just about looking pretty. Imagine how much more comfortable guests will feel choosing a truck when they’re able to clearly see what each is offering.
Stunning pictures and what a lovely wedding dress!
eeep! I love the feeling I get looking at this wedding! So beautiful <3

Beautiful wedding, thanks for sharing! My niece is having a “truck vendor” wedding and I absolutely LOVE your custom menu napkins! What napkin product did you select from Fiel?
