When you couple up a pair of creatives, you’re no doubt going to have one gorgeous wedding. Laura is a wedding photographer by trade – so she definitely knows a pretty thing or two. Her darling Phil is a graphic designer, whose work you would definitely recognize: The Twitter Bird (seriously!). The dreamy day planned out by Intuition Events included a parade downtown, a gorgeous rooftop view and an amazing dance party. Held at the Takk House in upstate New York, this wedding is brimming with beautiful imagery by Dylan and Sara.
The bride shares From my experience in the industry and both of our creative backgrounds we had a pretty good idea of how we envisioned our wedding day unfolding. For decor we went with a natural/bohemian vibe that included lots of greenery, gold accents, macrame backdrops, wicker chairs, mismatched lace tablecloths. With all of the wedding related decisions, we just went with what felt right and true to us.
We can’t wait any longer… Let’s look!
Those Bryr shoes with the Tiffany blue backdrop! And the darling detail on the back of her Rue de Seine dress!!
Absolutely STUNNING makeup + hair by Amy Michaud of Luxe Beauty Bar.
Our first look was immensely special and will stay with me forever, but our second line parade is a close second. Having just said our vows and had our first kiss as husband and wife, the parade was perfect to match that level of happiness.
We love the lighting in this photo – the way it illuminates the room, but there are still dark + moody corners.
Pretty peachy bridesmaids dresses from J. Crew. We love how the color was picked up in the florals!
Processional: Harvest Moon by Neil Young
Recessional: Second Line Parade
First Dance: Baby by Donnie and Joe Emerson
How fun is this?! Extremely common in New Orleans, the wedding second line is a parade that celebrates the newlyweds as they embark on a new life together. The ‘main line’ is traditionally the married couple and a brass band, while the ‘second line’ is the wedding party and any passerby who wants to join in on the celebration!
How sweet is this sweetheart table?
Enjoy every second of it, even when the planning process seems overwhelming. Also, take a moment during the wedding day and look around, take everything in, it goes by so fast.
From us here at GWS, congrats L + P!!

I love vintage weddings. I am so glad to see the look of these images having a great use of shadow and not just blowing everything out.
Such a great wedding! Love that brass band shot with the bride/groom and bridal party walking down the street! So cool.
Absolutely stunning wedding. Unique couple, venue, and vintage theme. Would be fun to recreate for a stylized shoot.
