Want to get super outside-the-box for your wedding or big event? It’s simple: take a nontraditional item, in this case the humble onion, and create an unexpectedly beautiful atmosphere inspired by that item. When you think about it, onions are pretty great! They’ve got layers – always a good thing in fashion and linens. And how about the colors – rust and deep purple? Yep, love ’em. Above all, you can’t forget about what happens when you peel back the layers of an onion to reveal something raw, delicate, and intricately created – you can’t help but cry. See? Onions are great!
And so is today’s wedding inspiration, featuring creative design by Amorology and lovely photos from Feather & Stone Photography! We don’t think you’ll need to grab the tissues for this one, but maybe keep them close…just in case ;)
Let’s have a look!
Lovely Paper Things expertly designed the invitation suite with a harvest of texture and pattern.
MYWONY certainly didn’t skimp on the layers for this gown – HELLO.
Oooo so pretty! Seriously might make this our new phone background.
Guest names and seating assignments pinned into onion bulbs! Aren’t the colors gorgeous?
The tabletop was laden with rich textures and spices, ceramic plates and dyed linens from Hostess Haven.
Is it just us or are the florals by Running Wild Florals actually reminiscent of delicate onion skins?

Hey There Cupcake created the perfect cake to compliment the layering in deep indigo and creamy fondant.
So rich! Love that dark lip courtesy of Amy Clarke and the metallic crown from Melinda Rose.
YES, girl! So many reasons (layers?) to love this creative inspiration! Thanks to the talented team for sharing!
