This Southern California team shares a deep love of literature + typography – just like me! Beautiful fonts and text inspired this shoot styled by Kristeen LaBrot of Kristeen LaBrot Events, and shot by Sara Allen of onelove photography. The idea was to explore the more energetic side of wedding styling with bright colors (some neon!), an abundance of fresh flowers, and a feeling of pure happiness throughout the event, all accented with letters, ampersands, and lots of love. Monk Space (located in downtown LA) is one of the latest locations available for weddings with an industrial-pretty vibe. Exposed brick walls, very old advertising signs painted over the brick in parts, and trap-door skylights add to the atmosphere with just the right amount of charm.
And wait until you see the wedding dress by Beane & Company! It looks like a piece of art with its bodice made completely out of paper, and the skirt of peau de soie and tulle. Beane and Co. made the sparkling ampersand headpiece to complete the look. The models for the shoot are real-life husband and wife, the sweet Allyson + Rob. :)
To help lighten and brighten the space, Gilly Flowers created bold, romantic bouquets and centerpieces, as well as sculpted huge quotation marks out of fresh flowers to hang on the wall behind the sweetheart table. I am in major love with the bouquet which uses poppies, tulips, roses and more – so, so gorgeous!
And last, but certainly not least, the beautiful cakes by Superfine Bakery. This nine-cake set is Superfine’s new take on the monogram. “Why have just your initials on a small plaque or topper when you can have your names spelled out in cake?” says Andrea Boudewijn of Superfine. Each cake is adorned with a green sugar letter spelling out the couple’s names, accented by sugar poppies, peonies, sweet peas and ranunculus.
So bright + happy + fun! Just love it!! Thanks so much to all these super creative wedding artists sharing their work with us today:

OMG! Please tell me where she got those shoes. I LOVE THEM!
OMgosh that is FUN. I love how creative and beautiful it all is. I know it takes so much more time to create a truly unique wedding but I think it is TOTALLY worth it. Brides, you will be happy with yourself after the fact if you really have fun with the creative process and bring all of your fun ideas and personality to the table.
Props to green wedding shoes for always giving great inspiration and pushing the envelope.
What an awesome job! I mean, it turned out beautiful. What a fun theme and it could so easily be implemented into a wedding. Beautiful

The French Bouquet: Wedding & Event Florals
Oh my gosh! I love those cakes, but I think C-h-r-i-s-t-i-n-a is probably too many cakes, haha!
I guess an ampersand cake on it’s own would still be just as lovely :)
This is so fun!! Love love love the colors

How creative!! I love the high low design of the bride’s dress. It’s the perfect way to showoff those funky spiked heels!
Wow, the bride’s gown is so unique and looks great on her. I bookmarked Beane & Company for the next time a bride asks for an uber original bridal gown. Thanks!
These pics are amazing, an inspiration for those that want to be on the creative side. I’ve never seen a wedding dress quite like this one, I love it!
