One of the most exciting things about weddings is how much they have changed + evolved over the years. Just think about how much the fête you’re currently planning differs from your parent’s big day. The same goes for the wedding registry! Since 2004, over 200,000 couples have “skipped the blender” and registered for the trip of a lifetime. Still new to this whole aspect of wedding planning? Allow us to introduce you to Traveler’s Joy, the world’s premier honeymoon registry website. Traveler’s Joy allows you to register for activities, experiences, and other items related to your first travel experience as a married couple. And since we all know how quickly wedding expenses can add up, wouldn’t it be so nice to know your guests can help send you off on a dreamy, romantic trip?! We think so!
A few reasons why we love Traveler’s Joy:
1. Instant Registry. A complete registry is just minutes away! When setting up a registry, couples can choose from a list of 50 theme-based (think beach, cruise, or mountains) or location-specific (think Italy or St. Lucia) item lists. With one-click, items and experiences are added to your registry. You can edit or delete any item at any time and also add plenty more of your own.
2. Group Gifting. It’s easy to divide the cost of expensive items into manageable portions. A private sunset sailboat trip that costs $300 can be split into 3 $100 gifts (or gifts of any size). Since there are many honeymoon items that can be very expensive, almost all couples use this feature in some way.
3. Partnerships + History. Traveler’s Joy has been in business since 2004 and have served over 200,000 members. They are also proud members of the Better Business Bureau Online Reliability Program (since 2006).
4. Physical Items. Couples are registering for increasing numbers of “accessory” items related to their honeymoon. Some examples include travel guidebooks, cameras, video-cameras, luggage, snorkeling gear, and even newlywed flip flops.

I would love to go to Japan for my honeymoon. There is so much to do! Cities, beaches, mountains, museums….
We would also love to go to Japan for a Winter wonderland. snowboarding in the mountains with plenty of soaks in the hot springs followed by the intensity of Tokyo
i WOULD love to go to Mexico. Why Frida, Mariachi, Cancun, a lot of colours and people. I need more to explain! Viva la Vida! Viva Mexico!
This is great! My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for Vietnam next March! We’ve never been to Asia and have heard exciting things – we’re looking forward to old cities, beaches and of course Pho!
Wow, beautiful photos! Where are these magical places?
I would love to go to costa rica for the beautiful beaches and rain forest
Italy and Greece! For everything- the food, the views, the romance, the culture, the history….!
THAILAND! Both of us have yet to go to Thailand and we have always wanted to ride the elephants, swim in the stunning waters and mingle with the locals. I would love to experience their cuisine and volunteer with some local groups :) There are too many reasons to list honestly!
My fiance and I are road tripping from California to Chicago,IL as our honeymoon, but also because we’re moving to Chicago.
We were so thrilled to come across Travelers Joy! With paying for our own wedding, a shorter engagement (9months), and my fiancee being 10 hours away for work the majority of the time planning the wedding has been crazy! A few months in, his hours have been cut, my hours are already at the maximum and we’re not sure if we can even afford a honeymoon. That’s when we found Travelers Joy. We knew we had friends and family who would be happy to help us create a honeymoon experience we’d enjoy every minute of but how do you ask? Travelers Joy solves that problem too. We registered right away but hadn’t decided on a destination yet. We started talking about the honeymoon. What did we want to do?
In the end we narrowed it down to beautiful, and historic Greece! We don’t sit still well so we needed somewhere that we could get out and do stuff. Be part of culture. Touch History. Or just lounge poolside and relax when we want to. And we found all that and more in Greece!
We would love to go to the Philippines. Why? The food, the beaches, the relaxation, the romantic appeal, waterfalls, hiking, surfing and paddle boarding.
Somewhere tropical for an all-inclusive escape…Traveler’s Joy has lots of great ideas. We’d love to go to St. Lucia!
My fiance and I would love to go to Nova Scotia on our honeymoon. He lived in Canada when he was little and I love the landscape of the rocky northeast coast. Since we are getting married in the fall, it seems like such a cozy trip- whale watching, hiking, coastal drives…
My fiance and I are getting married in August, and we really want to do the Camino del Santiago in Spain, followed by some time in the Greek Islands! We could definitely use the boost from you – the student loans make a honeymoon almost impossible! xo
What an awesome giveaway! We’re getting married on a farm even though we’re NYC dwellers because we just love the outdoors and animals. Our dream honeymoon is to go on a safari in Africa or anywhere we can be around beautiful wild animals and nature!
Sean and I live in San Francisco and are getting married in October in Northern California, but we decided to keep it local for our honeymoon and go to my favorite places in the whole world – Patrick’s Point and Yountville! We can’t wait to get some great gear for our 10 mile hikes and fishing trips in Patrick’s Point, and then we will move over to Napa to experience lavish dining and chauffeured wine tasting trips! Traveler’s Joy is THE BEST site for managing the small parts of our trip and turning them into experiences that our guests can gift us!! So excited!
The two of us are big time triathletes, so an ideal honeymoon would be to the big island of Hawaii where Ironman Kona is held. My guy has never been to Hawaii before, and I think it would be the perfect time for us to go and enjoy our first days as a wedded couple :)
We would love to rejuvenate on a relaxing South Pacific beach or in the beautiful mountains. We’re thinking Bali or Thailand!
My fiance and I are planning a trip to Italy. We’ve never been and we’re excited to hike along the coasts, explore smaller towns, experience the culture of the cities, and eat delicious food!
thailand because i would love some sun and relaxation!
We’re tying the knot in January, so thinking creatively about where to go. We both love Chicago, so might do a US based trip and go back to a place that has a lot of memories for us. If we go abroad, we’ve talked about something like New Zealand or Fiji. I went on a business trip last year to the Caribbean, so there’s a strong possibility we go back there and actually see the beaches this time. Grenada seems incredible lush.
