Trader Joe’s Fall 2026 Items Are Here: The 28 We’d Buy Again (and the 5 to Grab First)

The Best Fall Items from Trader Joe's including pumpkin bread, pumpkin cream cheese and more

The Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones are back in the freezer case and the Butternut Squash Ravioli is already thinning out on the shelf. I’ve been working my way through the fall 2026 lineup at Trader Joe’s since the first boxes showed up, and these are the 28 Trader Joe’s fall items I’d put in the cart again, plus the five to grab first and a real answer to when the fall stuff actually comes out.

If the TJ’s fall drop is a standing date on your calendar the way it is on mine, this list is sorted the way I actually shop the store: breakfast and bakery first, then snacks, dinner, drinks, dessert, and the pumpkin pile out front.

What Are the Top 5 Trader Joe’s Fall Items to Buy First?

Someone on Instagram asked me this a few falls ago and it’s still the most useful thing in this post, so it lives up top now. If you only grab five things, these are the five, roughly in order of how fast they disappear:

  1. Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones. My number one fall Trader Joe’s item, every year. They sell out fast, so go early in the week and check the freezer aisle before anything else. Full entry at item 23 below.
  2. Butternut Squash Ravioli. The woman at my Trader Joe’s told me they cannot keep these on the shelves (item 14 below), and the Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese goes right along with them. If you see either, grab it and do not plan on coming back for it. Grab the mac and cheese (item 15 below) right alongside the ravioli.
  3. Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones. Frozen, ready to bake, 12 to a box, and more like a warm mini pumpkin muffin than any scone I’ve had. Item 6 below.
  4. Spicy Pumpkin Samosas. The appetizer we buy every single fall. Perfect amount of spice. Item 13 below.
  5. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread. On a toasted pumpkin bagel, it’s the whole reason to get up on a Saturday. Item 3 below.

When Do Trader Joe’s Fall Items Come Out?

The short answer, from years of checking the shelves: the fall stuff starts trickling in during the last stretch of August, the main wave lands in early September, and the specialty frozen items and the pumpkins keep arriving through October.

  • Late August: the first trickle. A handful of fall items appear without much fanfare, usually before the seasonal signage goes up.
  • Early September: the main drop, what your store crew may call pumpkinpalooza. Most of the list below hits at once, and this is the week the sell-out items sell out.
  • Mid-September through October: the specialty goods keep coming: frozen dinners and desserts, the pumpkin and gourd pile out front, and the seasonal cheeses that show up in October and November.

Your store can run a week either way, so ask a crew member. In my experience they know exactly what came in that morning and what’s already gone.

What’s New for Fall 2026 at Trader Joe’s (and What’s Back)

Every fall Trader Joe’s adds a handful of new items and brings back the seasonal favorites that only exist this time of year, and the two deserve to be kept straight. Every one of the 28 on the numbered list below is a returning favorite we’ve tasted, loved, and would buy again.

Box of Trader Joe's Pumpkin Oat Bites, new for fall 2026

One new item has already earned its spot: Pumpkin Oat Bites. My teen daughter rates them a 10 out of 10, which in our house is the only review that matters. New this year and already a contender for a fall must have.

The rest of the new fall 2026 lineup is on shelves now, and we haven’t tasted these yet. Think of it as your scouting list for the next TJ’s run:

  • Sliced Pumpkin Sourdough Bread
  • Pumpkin Flan
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice Bark
  • Autumn Harvest Sweet & Salty Snack Mix
  • Apple Pie à la Mode Ice Cream
  • Organic Fall Leaf Shaped Italian Pasta
  • Apple Prebiotic Soda
  • Rustic Apple Tarte
  • Apple Vinaigrette Dressing
  • Chocolate Mousse Pumpkins

Anything new that didn’t earn a spot lands in the honesty section at the bottom.

Fall Breakfast and Bakery Items from Trader Joe’s

This is the pumpkin everything lineup, and I say that with love. If you’re the person typing “is Trader Joe’s pumpkin stuff out yet” into your phone in the parking lot, the bakery and bread aisle is where you’ll get your answer first.

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix

1. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix

A fave for a few years running and still the first thing in my cart. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bread & Muffin Mix just needs eggs, oil, and water, and a slice of warm pumpkin bread (or a muffin) with coffee on a fall Saturday morning is about as good as a morning gets. One of our editors swears by the gluten-free pumpkin bread mix too, so grab that one if you need it.

2. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter

Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Butter is the special treat to swipe over that pumpkin bread, or on toast, or stirred into oatmeal, or spooned onto waffles. I’ve even added a spoonful of the pumpkin butter to a smoothie. It’s a small 10 oz jar, so buy two.

3. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread

I’m not usually a bagel person, but Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Bagels made with pumpkin flour and little pumpkin pie spice bits baked right in, converted me for the season. Toast one and pile on the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread, and you have the perfect way to start your weekend. My kids love these as much as I do, and the cream cheese made my top five for a reason.

4. Apple Cinnamon Buns

These Apple Cinnamon Buns are crumb-topped Danish pastries with apple filling and cinnamon, and they are SO GOOD. Definitely a special treat, since they lean sweet, but they were made for a slow morning coffee. Heat them in the toaster oven for that just-baked taste. I still bet they’d be incredible with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

5. Pumpkin Loaf

If you love the pumpkin bread from Starbucks, you will LOVE the Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Loaf. It’s a whole, moist loaf with a spiced sugar topping that crackles a little when you cut into it. Slice, warm it up, and it’s the perfect afternoon treat with coffee. So happy to see it back on the bakery table this fall.

6. Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones

I’m not normally a scone person. Most scones are too hard for me. The Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones are the exception: more like a warm mini pumpkin muffin with hints of crystallized ginger. They’re in the freezer, ready to bake, 12 to a box, and the size is exactly right for a tiny taste of fall with your afternoon coffee. They made my top five, so don’t skip them.

7. Pumpkin Overnight Oats

For the healthy option in the lineup, the Pumpkin Overnight Oats in the refrigerated section are rolled oats with pumpkin puree and spices, gluten free, in a single-serve cup. I top mine with pumpkin seeds and almonds. If you already love overnight oats, this is the fall version you’ll keep on repeat.

Trader Joe’s Fall 2026 Snacks

More of the pumpkin everything lineup, snack edition. Two of my favorite pumpkin moments live here: the pumpkin tortilla chip and salsa pairing, and a cheeseboard combo I’ll be making on repeat straight through Thanksgiving.

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Chips and Harvest Salsa

8. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Tortilla Chips

The Pumpkin Tortilla Chips, dusted with cinnamon and nutmeg, sounded strange to me for a tortilla chip, and then I ate half the bag. It works. They’re made with pumpkin puree and pumpkin seeds, and they are the natural partner for the Fall Harvest Salsa right below. Would definitely buy again.

9. Trader Joe’s Fall Harvest Salsa

Trader Joe’s Fall Harvest Salsa is an autumnal mix of pumpkin, apple, and butternut squash, and it’s such a great salsa. I paired it with the Pumpkin Tortilla Chips and with my favorite black bean chips, and the Fall Harvest Salsa won both times. Definitely picking up more of this one this fall.

10. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps with Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat Cheese

I LOVE LOVE putting together charcuterie boards, especially in the fall and winter. Usually I go for the cranberry goat cheese Trader Joe’s carries in October and November, but the Apricot Cherry Cranberry Goat Cheese is a fall-only find and SO GOOD. If you love cherries and cranberries, it pairs amazingly with Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps. I usually reach for their Fig crisps, but this seasonal pumpkin cranberry flavor was a winner. This combo will be a staple on our cheeseboards all fall.

Obsessed with Trader Joe’s goodies year-round? Don’t miss our list of the best TJ’s finds of all time.

11. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spread

The Sweet & Savory Lightly Spiced Pumpkin Spread is the finishing touch for that same charcuterie board: a Pumpkin Cranberry Crisp, a smear of the goat cheese, a little of this spread on top. SO YUM. It doesn’t taste especially pumpkin-y to me, more sweet and savory like the label promises, and that’s exactly why it works next to cheese and cold cuts. Add it to your fall cheeseboards this year.

Favorite Trader Joe’s Fall Items for Dinner

This is where the fall drop earns its reputation: four butternut squash dinners that each do a different job, two sauces I keep on the shelf, a $2.99 gnocchi, and the samosa we buy every single year.

12. Pumpkin Gnocchi

I was so excited about these and then got nervous they’d taste bland. Boy was I glad I picked them up. The Pumpkin Gnocchi are SO GOOD you guys!! Soft, pillowy potato and pumpkin gnocchi, not too sweet, and you can actually taste the pumpkin. I served them with a sage brown butter sauce, toasted walnuts, and some grilled chicken, and it made a perfect fall meal. They’re only $2.99, which might be the best $2.99 in the store. Definitely buying more of these.

13. Trader Joe’s Spicy Pumpkin Samosas

The Mini Spicy Pumpkin Samosas are one of the fall Trader Joe’s items we pick up every single year, and they made my top five. Spiced pumpkin and paneer wrapped in a crisp, flaky pastry, with the perfect amount of heat: not too spicy, just a good warm spice. They’re the fun appetizer to put out while the ravioli water comes to a boil. If you like their chicken samosas, you’ll love these.

14. Butternut Squash Ravioli

This is one of my FAVORITE easy fall dinners, and the one to grab on sight. The Butternut Squash Ravioli (the package actually reads Trader Giotto’s Butternut Squash Triangoli, triangle pasta stuffed with sweet butternut squash, made in Italy) goes fast; the woman I spoke with at my store said they can’t keep it on the shelves, so grab it early. Boil, then toss with brown butter, a bit of sage, and parmesan. That’s dinner in about the time it takes to set the table, and it feels like date night. Looking for more fall dinner ideas? We got you.

15. Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese

This one surprised me. I’m not a big mac and cheese person and wasn’t planning to try it, but when my store was out of the ravioli, one of the crew members said I needed to take home the Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese instead. There was one box left, so why not?! And you guys, SO GOOD. Mezzi rigatoni in a butternut squash puree with Gouda, cheddar, and Parmesan, and you just heat it in the microwave (gotta love that). It’s the weeknight one: microwave, roasted green cauliflower on the side, done. According to my local store it’s one of their most popular fall items, which is exactly why it disappears right alongside the ravioli.

16. Butternut Squash Risotto

We eat a lot of grilled chicken around here and I’m always hunting for new sides. The Butternut Squash Risotto is a frozen bag imported from Italy, back again this fall after its debut season, and it’s the side dish of the group: creamy, quick, and so easy to make. It was great next to grilled chicken, and I think it would be even better beside a sliced flank steak.

17. Butternut Squash Lasagna

The Butternut Squash Italian Lasagna is the cozy Sunday one. Slide it in the oven for 45 minutes and you have dinner for two, no stove, no chopping. Egg pasta layered with a butternut squash bechamel and Italian cheese, topped with breadcrumbs and pumpkin seeds for crunch. If you loved the mac and cheese, this is its dinner-party cousin, and the two together make the easiest butternut squash week I can imagine. Chef’s kiss.

18. Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce

The Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce is one of my faves and I wish it were sold all year. It’s a creamy autumn sauce I use two ways: spooned over grilled chicken, or as the sauce for a cheese ravioli when I want fall flavor without a butternut filling. Definitely recommend stocking two jars of the Autumnal Harvest sauce while it’s on the shelf.

19. Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce

The Pumpkin Alfredo Sauce, made with Grana Padano and Pecorino Romano, gives you alfredo richness without the heavy, sleepy feeling a classic alfredo leaves behind. I stirred in some turkey sausage and tossed it with pumpkin pasta. A perfect easy fall meal. Along with the Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce above, it’s the second jar I keep on hand for a no-plan weeknight.

Favorite Fall 2026 Drinks from Trader Joe’s

Three drinks, one rule: none of them are sweet enough to feel like dessert, which is the whole reason they made the list.

20. Pumpkin Spice Flavored Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate

As a huge cold brew fan I wanted to love the Pumpkin Spice Flavored Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate but didn’t have high hopes, since pumpkin coffee usually runs way too sweet for me. This one has no sugar. You mix one part concentrate with two parts milk or water; I do one part coffee, one part oat milk, and one part water, and I’m happy to report it is so good: the perfect amount of pumpkin spice, not sweet at all. Grab the concentrate, back for another fall, and it’s your afternoon coffee for the month.

21. Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew

I love a Moscow Mule, and my favorite way to mix things up for fall is to swap in the Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ginger Brew, a sparkling ginger beverage sweetened with apple juice concentrate and cane sugar in the pretty flip-top bottle. The recipe is the classic: vodka, a squeeze of lime, ice, then top with the ginger brew. I make mine in this Moscow Mule copper mug set, which I own and love. Enjoy!

22. La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Draft Latte

Technically, the La Colombe Pumpkin Spice Draft Latte isn’t a Trader Joe’s product. It’s a national brand I found at Trader Joe’s, but I haven’t seen this flavor at too many other stores, so it stays on the list. Pumpkin coffee drinks are hit or miss for me, and this was a big HIT. I’m a fan of their oat milk lattes, and this seasonal batch has the right amount of pumpkin without going super sweet.

Favorite Fall 2026 Desserts from Trader Joe’s

The freezer aisle is where the fall drop gets serious, and it’s where my number one item lives.

23. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones

This is my number one favorite fall Trader Joe’s item, every single year. The Mini Hold the Cone! Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones are eight little gingery cones filled with pumpkin ice cream and a white confectionery coating, under 100 calories each. I love a tiny bit of something sweet, and these are the perfect size. The pumpkin ice cream with the ginger cone is the PERFECT combo. They sell out fast, so go early and hit the freezer aisle first.

If you pick up one fall item on your next trip, make it this one. You will not regret it. :)

24. Caramel Apple Mochi

I do love mochi, so I was excited to try the Caramel Apple Mochi: caramel apple ice cream wrapped in sweet rice dough, six to a box, gluten free. It tasted exactly like a caramel apple, which, for me, tipped it a little too sweet. I heard from a lot of you that you loved this one, though, and my daughters are big fans, so if caramel apples are your thing, give it a try.

25. Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants

The Pumpkin Cheesecake Croissants have been one of my MUST TRIES since they first appeared back in 2022, especially if you love cheesecake and croissants. Flaky, ready to bake, with a swirl of pumpkin cheesecake filling and just the right amount of pumpkin taste. Find them in the frozen section, two per box, and plan on one each because nobody is sharing.

26. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Batons

A perfect afternoon treat with a cup of hot tea or coffee. Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Batons are delicate rolled wafers filled with pumpkin spice cream, and the canister empties at an alarming rate around here. My daughters are big fans of these too.

27. Pumpkins and Gourds

I LOVE LOVE having pumpkins all over the house for fall, and Trader Joe’s typically has the best prices on the Cinderella pumpkins I’m partial to, plus a whole pile of small pumpkins and gourds out front: the dusty blue-gray ribbed ones, the bumpy orange ones, the flat cream-colored ones. It’s always my first stop to stock up for the season.

28. Fall Candles

Trader Joe’s brings back two fall candles each year that smell SO good: Vanilla Pumpkin and Honeycrisp Apple, in little silver tins. What I love most is what’s not in them. The Trader Joe’s fall candles are a natural soy wax blend with a lead-free cotton wick, which matters more than most candle labels admit. If you want more options like that, browse our favorite non-toxic candles.

What Did We Try That We Didn’t Love?

A lot of you on Instagram wanted to know what we tried that we weren’t fans of, and I’ll always tell you. The Apple Cider Donuts were dry and super sugary. The Pumpkin O’s cereal tasted like air, not nearly enough pumpkin. And the pumpkin ravioli was way too sweet for dinner for me (the butternut squash version above is the one to buy).

Frequently Asked Questions

When do Trader Joe’s fall items come out?

In our experience the fall items start trickling in during late August, the main wave (often called pumpkinpalooza) lands in early September, and specialty frozen dinners, desserts, and pumpkins keep arriving through October. Individual stores can run about a week either way.

What are the best Trader Joe’s fall items?

Our top five, tasted every year: the Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones, Butternut Squash Ravioli, Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones, Spicy Pumpkin Samosas, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread. The full list of 28 items we’d buy again is above.

Which Trader Joe’s fall items sell out first?

The Pumpkin Ginger Ice Cream Cones, Butternut Squash Ravioli, and Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese go first; our local store crew says they can’t keep the ravioli and mac and cheese on the shelves. Shop early in the week and check the freezer aisle first.

Can you buy Trader Joe’s fall items online?

Not from Trader Joe’s directly. Some fall items show up on Amazon through third-party resellers at a markup, so we think of those links as a way to see the exact product, then buy it in store where the price is lower.

How long are Trader Joe’s fall items available?

Seasonal items stay until they sell out, which for the popular frozen dinners can be a matter of weeks, while pantry items and candles usually last into November. The seasonal goat cheeses we love tend to show up in October and November.

Those are our picks for fall 2026 from Trader Joe’s. Did we miss any of your faves? What are you most excited to try, or enjoy again, this year? And if you’re stocking up for the whole season, our charcuterie board ideas and fall dinner ideas will put most of this list to work.
