From the lush green to the New York City skyline and all the candles, this modern + minimalistic wedding at Liberty House is downright DREAMY. The night took on an industrial meets glam sort of feeling and you’re going to have to see all the twinkle lights to believe it!
Leah tells us about the inspiration behind the big day: The day was a perfect reflection of mine and Luigi’s style and so many of our ideas actually came from GWS! I love the contrast of greenery paired with an industrial vibe. Our color theme was neutrals with touches of gold throughout. The bridesmaid’s dresses were selected to match a neutral tone, but completely different in style.
Let’s dive into the details that Pat Furey Photography captured!
The Details
Isn’t this pressed invitation suite by A Fabulous Fete the definition of class?
How gorgeous is the back of that gown?! Jess Ferrara at BeYOUtiful Bride created Leah’s stunning waves, while Benita Negron at Beauty Glam Artistry, complemented her natural beauty with bold lashes and some glam highlight.
The Sweethearts
CUTIES!!
Forgoing bold colors for modern greens and whites and tons of texture, isn’t this bouquet by Louisa Amabile Testa LLC a dream?
SO MANY! The ceremony was the most special moment of the night between Luigi and I. It felt incredible to have all our family and friends in the same room celebrating such a significant part of our lives. I also loved our first look. Our photographer, Pat Furey, and his wife, Claire, captured the day perfectly. After a full morning getting ready with our best friends and siblings, Luigi and I went on our own to have a first look. I rode with Pat and Luigi rode with Claire in separate Ubers. Our wedding party met us an hour later in the Escalade limo. It was a VERY windy November day with gusts reaching up to 40 mph. We were freezing but determined to stay outside! We popped open a bottle of Dom Perignon (and almost got arrested for having an open bottle in a public park...oops!). The little bit we were able to drink kept us warm!
Their Modern Ensembles
Leah’s A La Robe gown from Loho Bride featured a stunning layer of light sequins that shimmered in the light.
How sharp is Luigi’s custom tux his uncle made for him?
What a LOOK!!

The Wedding Party
Lovin’ that luxe look for the ladies in neutral hues with a touch of sparkle.
The Glam Ceremony
From the rose petals to the candles to the lights and that VIEW!!
Our first dance was Sky Full of Stars by Chris Martin and the room looked like it was lit up by stars… it was SO fitting.
The Elegant Reception Brimming with Greenery
My sister, Molly, and I created the seating chart by spray painting a large grid panel. We then designed and printed out name cards to match the event.
Look at all those lights!!
How adorable are those little Nutella jars? As homage to their Italian roots, Luigi’s mom + Leah created Nutella party favors for guests with tied wooden spoons that read “Dolce Amore” (love is sweet).
It is easy to get swept away in making everyone else happy, but this day is about you and your partner so treat it that way! If you have room to splurge, do it on the entertainment, dining experience and photography. A great DJ/band and tasty food are key to making a great party, and the photos are what you will have to relive the night forever.
What a view + what a night! From the team here at GWS, congrats to the two of you!!
