Would you have the guts to give 100% creative freedom to your wedding vendors?? That’s what this couple did and it seriously paid off! We must bow down to their event planners, The Creatives Loft, for the epic and spectacular event that they designed! Sarah and Nino had no idea what their wedding decor would look like on the big day, but we can say for a fact that they were blown away when they stepped into the Penthouse at Riverside Wharf in Miami for their rooftop wedding. A tropical, bright and minimal aesthetic inspired both the ceremony and reception decor. You have GOT to see the incredible sun-inspired pampas grass installation that served as the backdrop for their vows! In addition to tropical hanging installations, sleek and minimalist details such as marble charger plates, gold flatware, tinted ghost chairs and loads of natural light made their reception venue a breath of fresh air! These two were all about releasing control, sitting back and enjoying the party!
Hear from Sarah herself about the inspiration for their big day: We wanted our day to feel authentic and true to us and our story. We wanted the vibe to feel warm and intimate and didn’t want to follow any traditional wedding formula/mold. That’s why we chose our incredible dream team to make it all come to life – The Creatives Loft. We wanted the space to feel bright and wanted a tropical vibe full of gorgeous greenery, but also wanted something eclectic. Our vendors blew us away and we allowed them to be creative and take risks. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect as we celebrated with our closest family and friends!
Let’s take a look through the lens of Zulie Rego Photography and see it all in stunning detail!
Graceful and minimal, Sarah’s dress that she found at Lovely Bride was perfect for a laid back affair. Equally as breathtaking, her long and lush waves by stylist Celina Beach Artistry completed the tropical goddess look!
We are loving the textures in this bridal bouquet! Fun flowers such as King protea, anthurium, ranunculus and scabiosa pods gave a fresh and unexpected twist to a classic white and green color palette.
Here Comes the Sun
Just one word to sum up this stunner… WOWZA! Primrose Florals outdid themselves on this design! You know we love pampas grass and you know we love boho so it’s no surprise that we’re in love with this sun-inspired ceremony installation! It created the perfect lush rooftop wedding oasis in the middle of the city!
Processional: Wedding Party - “Love Me Do” Beatles, Bride - “All You Need Is Love” Beatles
Recessional: “Eight Days A Week” Beatles
First Dance: NO. SLOW. SONGS. We wanted to P-A-R-T-Y! For us, we wanted an EPIC dance party. Slow songs can be a total buzz kill (sorry, not sorry!)
Every moment was absolute perfection - the day started with a Wedding Day 5K, we got ready surrounded by family and were blown away when we stepped into our venue! The wedding started off with a cocktail hour and was followed by the most beautiful ceremony by our cousin who has known us from day one! After dinner with four amazing speeches by our wedding party we danced for 3.5 hours straight - DJ Siso killed it!!! We danced so much that we never left the dance floor to cut our cake, so we did it Sunday night at a post-wedding family dinner. BEST. DAY. EVER.
Elegant Oasis for the Reception
As you can see, clean and minimal was the name of the game for the reception decor. Perfect for a sleek rooftop wedding in the city! Are you loving that escort card display as much as we are?! Check out these other fun escort card display ideas for some more unique inspiration!
Give us tropical, give us greenery and give us pampas grass!!! We would have hard time not gazing up at these floating beauties for the entire night!
The Mix Dish provided the best tabletop rentals that completed the minimal look. Can we just talk about those marble plates for a minute?
How do you do minimal right? Choose details like clean lines, clear glass, and pops of fun, bright color! Check out some more ideas down below that were inspired by this vibe!
Trust your vendors - they are the experts! I (Sarah) come from production and know how important this is. You have to trust the creative process - if you hire the right team they will bring your vision to life, but you have to trust the creative process!
Sarah summed up how amazing this event really was: Can we do it all again?!?! We are still in awe of our wedding weekend – it was a dream come true.
We completely agree! Such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple! Congratulations from the GWS Team!
