This Couple Captured Their Engagement Photos in a Flower Field of Ranunculus!

Sometimes you come across photos so stunning, you find yourselves having to catch your breath… you just CAN’T STOP STARING. Case in point, Ali + Alex’s engagement photos in a field of ranunculus! And, in case those weren’t enough (which they totally are, we seriously can’t get over the scenery!), their photographer, Priscila Valentina Photography took them down to the beach for the most darling boat photos at the beach. Just you wait to see what we have in store…

Ali shares: I love bright + colorful things. When talking with Priscila about what location we wanted our photos at, I told them I wanted there to be color and flowers, but that I also wanted beach photos. After that conversation, Priscila suggested the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. Being originally from the OC area I had gone there with my grandparents when I was 3. The pictures my mom has from that visit were beautiful so I knew it would be amazing and meaningful. The flower field photos really portray our relationship because they are happy, fun and romantic.

Curious about these fields? The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is fifty-acre dazzling rainbow of blooms. And, it’s located on a hillside overlooking the California coastline. Talk about WOAH! (And yes, the space is open for weddings + events! There’s even a barn for special occasions, too.)

The region has a rich history of growing flowers — going back to the 1940s.

Ali shares a little snippet about their engagement:

I love to go to places with a great view. Alex proposed at the Sanctuary on Camelback Resort, in Paradise Valley, Arizona. He took me there for dinner at the Elements restaurant. While there, he suggested we go on a walk to look around the property to see beautiful views. We went out on the balcony/patio area where you can see a view of the valley… After a heartfelt speech, he got down on one knee and proposed!

The Beach

And then it was time for the beach! Have you noticed how darling Ali’s outfits are? She shares: the off-the-shoulder dress worn at the fields is from Show Me Your Mumu, while the white two-piece and polka dot set are from Lulu*s.

Priscila Valentina Photography shares: We may be seeing a shift in the trend of muted colors as we are rolling into the wedding season here for 2018. We are having a lot of couples wanting more vibrancy in their engagement and wedding photos than ever before.
