Do you ever feel like your friends and family have “taken” all of your favorite venues? As a wedding designer and planner in NYC, Natalie at Leilani Weddings hears this from prospective clients ALL the time! She shares with us: The couples I usually work with crave a wedding that’s stylish, elegant, and tasteful—yet unique, a little out of the box, and non-traditional. There are two solutions: the first is to have a destination wedding, the second is to take one of the city’s beautiful event spaces and transform it in a way that hasn’t been done before.
And the latter, my friends, is the route we’re showing you today! Just because you think all the “good” venues are taken doesn’t mean you can’t turn another location into a prime spot! Case in point: Natalie transformed Brooklyn Winery into the ultimate boho paradise for today’s wedding inspiration. Mixing the urban elements of the winery with tons of brilliant blooms, the space came alive with magic.
Let’s take a look at all the creative goodness Brian David Weddings captured!
The Details
The day featured bountiful blooms, so naturally Ink & Honey added floral illustrations to the invitation suite!
What a lovely mix of dresses! Want to see more ways to mix and match bridesmaid dresses?

Off-the-shoulder and oh-so SULTRY!! Who else is in love with that Grace Loves Lace gown?
The Whimsical Ceremony Space
We are ALL for hanging floral installations, and this one by Designs by Ahn is a serious MASTERPIECE.
Seriously can’t stop looking at this space! From the way the chairs surround the couple to the candles on the ground to that floral installation…love, love, LOVE!
The Ensembles
Oh, and about the killer ensembles they keep changing up? Yep, we’re definitely crushing on these looks!
The groom is looking so suave in his Stitch & Tie suit.
Sally Monterossa at Boho Hair Salon and makeup artist Meg Rianne created the DREAMIEST bridal look.
Too cool!
The Tablescape
Making use of the floral installation from the wedding “in the round,” the team brought in the hues seen above for the gorgeous floral centerpieces. We love the way they deepened the palette and added in that dark blue! It makes everything feel richer, don’t you think?
The table was set with the prettiest pieces from Elite Tent & Party Rental and Brooklyn Winery’s in-house floral china.
Living in New York City, we don’t experience much nature on a regular basis, so it was also beautiful to be able to bring so much of it into an intensely urban space in the middle of Williamsburg.
Along with a team of amazing NYC vendors, we turned the winery into a bohemian paradise bursting with blooms, animal sculptures, color, textures, and even live Parisian jazz by Nuage Rhythm.
To top it off, there was this darling confectionary delight courtesy of Nine Cakes.
According to the Brooklyn Winery team, no weddings like this had ever been executed at the venue, which really goes to show that you can always find a fresh take on a popular space—and that your wedding can feel worlds apart from the one your buddy had two years ago in the same place!
