Here at GWS, we’ve got a *thing* for florals… And love. And really just gorgeous photos that take our breath away + capture the unique essence of each couple (but we’re guessing you already knew that!). Anyway, the moment we laid eyes upon this jaw dropping, absolutely stunning, mind boggling beautiful floral arch our hearts went pitter patter (in the best way possible) and we knew we had to share it with you!
Taking place at one of the newest wedding venues in San Diego county — Hey Babe Ranch is one (dare we say) hip + dreamy location with views for days. To complement the scenery, florist Tularosa Flowers designed a floral arch with the help of Angela at The Mintery — and it was brimming with gray + purple roses! The photographer, Whitney of Paco and Betty, shares Inspired by the fluid romance of caped gowns seen gracing runways, we wanted to create a love dreamscape worthy of a fairy tale cloaked in flowers. The kind of dream that a bride and groom enter together and never want to wake from.
We can get on board with that… Ready to see this mystical + magical fairy tale come to life? Let’s look!!
Event and floral designer, Dawn Weisberg of Tularosa Flowers, envisioned an ethereal palette of pastels against the backdrop of the natural beauty at the venue Hey Babe Ranch… And HOLY SMOKES, did she pull it off!
Using old world favorites like garden roses, anemones, wax flowers and sweet peas paired with west coast native white sage and banksia integrifolia grown on the floral designer’s organic farm, the overall look is classically elegant, yet fresh and modern.
The bride wore a vintage dress, inspired by Art Deco designs. To complement the modern lines on her bridal gown, a matte sequin overlay was placed on their sweetheart table + paired with the classic romance of antique silver, crystal, blush and lavender.
To polish off the classic, yet modern, look, Connie Novello created the romantic + slightly deconstructed updo. Gray + purple tones in the makeup by Effortless Beauty Co. highlighted the bride’s natural beauty.
Can you feel the love tonight?! Whitney of Paco and Betty captured the exquisite the romance of real life couple Rachel + James. Oh and about the groom’s sharp gray suit? He’s lookin’ fine in Calvin Klein!
Sage, gold, cream, gray, purple… How cool is this color palette?!
Have you ever seen anything as enchanting as that?! From the color palette, to the abundance of florals, and the ethereal way her caped dress caught the wind…
A huge thank you to the talented team of creatives that put this together!
