Deciding on your wedding colors can be a tricky task. So much so, that we’ve seen a pret-ty big trend in couples forgoing a color scheme all together. But there’s just something about deliberately choosing several stunning shades that perfectly complement each other that can take your design ideas to the next level. So, today we’re taking a moment to embrace some tinge, with this vibrant editorial conceptualized by Rachael of lace and likes.
Rachael and the team she assembled were inspired by a wide variety of color, but they found themselves most drawn to shimmery metallics. First up, we’re sharing a gorgeous color story of yellow + copper, photographed by Joielala, and tomorrow, check back for a 2nd color story editorial all about rose gold!
The team at siren floral co used yellow in such a pretty way in that beautiful bouquet above + how much do you love the all kumquat branch bouquet below? We say, you can’t go wrong with either choice!
Rach says, Our yellow + copper palette look is totally California, bohemian, and laid back – but still elevated thanks to the rad couch from SMIDTHAT interiors.
Obsessing over this dress by Rue de Seine via The Dress Theory. So good…
The rundown: Rachael from lace and likes put together four shoots to showcase four different metallic hues with four completely different looks. She wanted each look to be romantic + beautiful, but with a subtle edge, and we think she definitely accomplished her goal with this one. You can see more today + tomorrow on 100 Layer Cake – and don’t forget to come back tomorrow (same time, same place) for the rose gold color story editorial we mentioned earlier!
