Since Therese works as both a set designer and a wedding photographer, she had a lot of ideas when it came to planning her own wedding! :) Even though most weddings in Sweden are very traditional church weddings with lots of predetermined events, Therese + Oskar-Ture knew they wanted to do something a bit more them. They choose to have their ceremony outside, down by an alley of apple trees with Therese’s grandfather as their wedding officiant. They also have a lot of musician friends who helped contribute music to the day – which really meant a lot to them. So many sweet details + such a gorgeous wedding dress! Big thanks to Jonas Peterson for the photos and congrats to Therese + Oskar-Ture!
The most important thing was to make the wedding all about us and who we are as a couple and forget about must do’s and dont’s. We also wanted to gather all of our friends and family for the occasion.
When we had just entered the ceremony and the first song was played, we had a great moment just holding hands and smiling to each other for the first minutes of our ceremony.
Processional: The Universal remix – Blur feat LJB
Recessional: Lovin'You – Minnie Riperton; First Day of my Life – Bright Eyes; You and I – Ingrid Michaelson; All You Need is Love – The Beatles
First Dance: Can't Take My Eyes Off You – Frankie Vallie & The Four Seasons
We had choosen four “dirty & pale” pastels as our color theme which was kind of the only real thread in our decorations, otherwise we just blended everything we liked! We did a lot of the prints and signs on birch plywood, from a Thumb Print Tree to the menu in the bar. The flowers were in the four colors and were choosen mostly by their “non-typical-flowery” look.
Oskar-Ture works as a project manager and came up with the brilliant idea to put up a hash-tag for our wedding and connected it with a website, which we projected on a big projections screen. So all tweets and pictures on instagram that our guests posted during the evening showed up there. It was great entertainment during the evening, and also the day after.
And not to forget our photographer Jonas Peterson! Since Therese works as a wedding photographer herself, it was really an important part of our day to have a wedding photographer that could capture our day and Jonas was actually the one who inspired her to start to shooting weddings, so that was the first and easiest decision when we began our wedding planning.
Enjoy the ride! The planning of your wedding is one of the first big things you do together. We both loved the evenings where we sat together and cut and glued something for the wedding.

Oh, I just love every bit of this! Simply beautiful. Congratulations Therese & Oskar-Ture!
Beautiful. Sweden looks like a great place to get married.
Lovely dress and a lovely location! So cool that they bucked tradition to do their own thing.
I loved the photos of the groomsmen with the eclectic bow ties and shirts! I also enjoyed the photographic transition from the more informal “before the ceremony” moments and the perfectly put together ceremony.
This wedding was absolutely fantastic! It was like stepping in to a wonderful whimsical hippie chic atmosphere. Everything was so well planned and pretty pretty pretty!
