We’re starting the day out with a little math lesson, but bear with us, because once we get through it, you’ll be rewarded tenfold with the most amazing images (shout-out to photog, Michelle Roller!) from the most amazing wedding (at The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, California).
Michelle tells us, Super PI day was March 14, 2015 and Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Theresa (the gorgeous bride) being a mathematician, immediately decided on that date when she got engaged and themed her whole wedding on PI! The symbol itself was sewn into Theresa’s custom veil, glittery PI numbers cascaded down the aisle runners and down the long tables which had been arranged in shape of a giant Pi symbol. The florist Fluid Bloom Designs in San Luis Obispo, incorporated the concept of 3 calla lilies and .14 daisy into the bride’s bouquet and had Venus Fly Traps with hand made signs that read Venue Pi Traps!

We can’t even contain our love for Theresa’s custom made lavender wedding dress! She was chosen by TLC’s Bride by Design to have designer Heidi Elnora create her dream dress + it was the perfect fit for her and her fun + quirky personality!
T’s fun bouquet by Fluid Bloom featured anemones, tulips, sweetpeas, ferns + more and how pretty are her sparkly starburst earrings (below) which she made herself?
Theresa was beautified by Marla Verdugo on for her PI Day fête, but we somehow get the feeling she’s just as stunning every day of the week…
Our Musical Choices
Theresa says, Kris and I love Astronomy, so we gave our guests customized star charts to use later on in the evening at our pizza PI(e) beach party. We also shared with our guests how Kris had made a special wish on a shooting star when he had first met me, so we tracked down some meteorites and put them in tiny glass vials along with star shaped glitter, and used these as name place cards and gifts for our guests.
Our Favorite Memory
When our 12 year old Best Man toasted us. His toast was very well written and so sincere to the point it brought many tears to many eyes, but the moment was lightened when instead of toasting us with a glass of champagne, he toasted us with a piece of toast!
Our Advice
Prioritize We had so many ideas that I wanted to execute, but when the final days approached I knew I wasn't going to get everything done that I had thought of, however I did feel like I accomplished all the important ones!
