Sunset-Inspired Wedding Decor With Ombré Flowers and Sun Ray Details

Here comes the sun! If you love color and romance then get ready for this rad sunset-inspired wedding shoot at Gardener Ranch! Florals and decor show off a full range of sunset colors from pale butter yellow and champagne tones, to deep rusts, brick red, and burgundy. Event designer, Bridget McKay Demayo and shoot planner, Carol Oliva Photography took the sun inspiration and ran with it! You can find nods to the sun throughout the shoot like the sun-inspired fabric altar, sun halo hairpieces, sunset petal circle, sun ray table numbers and a blue jean bridal jacket with sun detailing.

Willow and Plum absolutely nailed the creative floral decor with an amazing ombré color palette. Here’s what they shared about their inspiration:

As the inspiration behind the photoshoot was ‘sunset’ we wanted to mimic the spectrum of colors of a sunset in beautiful flowers. Sunsets move from light romantic hues to dark tones—perfect for a fall wedding. Each flower element, the bridal bouquet, the table centerpieces, and the spread of flower petals at the ceremony contained that spectrum of colors seen in a beautiful sunset. This palette offered us the opportunity to arrange the flowers from light to dark and we love the ombré feeling that provided.

Leather Details

Elyse Stirton created these amazing rust-toned invitations with geometric triangular patterns. The triangle and pyramid shape pops up throughout the decor in the altar design, the leather place cards, and the table numbers. The Crafting Casa finished off each piece with gorgeous calligraphy! Speaking of leather details, they’re going to be big in 2020 as we see more couples choosing a lot of masculine decor for their weddings. Simply Solid Designs created this totally rad sun-inspired altar design with hand-dyed cloth.

Colorful Inspiration

The lush and colorful florals really stand out in this sunset-inspired setup. Willow and Plum shared this about their choice of flowers:

We chose a selection of seasonally available flowers including ioli, toffee, and cinnamon roses, and mixed them with chocolate cymbidium orchids, bronze spider mums and fall foliage including autumn eucalyptus and nandina. In a single bridal bouquet the effect is stunning, seen from each side the bouquet is either light and romantic or dark and moody, and when viewed from the front the orange-toned cinnamon roses were the perfect color to bring those hues together to create something visually magical.

SO CUTE! Adorable flower girls always steal our hearts!! Epiphany Boutique provided their soft, neutral dresses.

A boho bride needs two things when it comes to her look: Carefree, bohemian waves and a stunning makeup look! Arellana O ‘ Roy nailed the hair and Andrea Rodriguez killed it on the makeup!
