Summertime and the stylin’ is easy…isn’t that how it should be? With so many beautiful elements working for you in the summer months (the seasonal flowers, the pretty sunsets, and al fresco evenings), it’s all about simplicity. This boho wedding inspiration is the product of a photography workshop hosted by Gabriel Conover, with the idea that easy summer styling means starting with what you’ve got. Think textures like house rugs and woven baskets, mixed with pink florals to match the sunset. Here’s more from Jaime, who led the design with Wild Heart Events:
This design is all about the summer vibes! We wanted to kick up the color palette a bit and mix our favorite muted tones with some bright pops. The bohemian aesthetic is all about color, pattern, and texture so we brought in a fun and different element with the cane webbing used in the ceremony backdrop and as the table runner. This is an easy, trendy material to work with that we would love to see brides incorporate! We have been seeing the hanging rug trend in interiors lately and decided that would be a fun backdrop for a ceremony. It provided the perfect neutral yet patterned base for Jill to add those floral pops of color!

Boho Backdrop with Rugs + Simple Cane Webbing
Jaime explained that sometimes it’s easy to pinpoint a couples’ style by working off an elevated dinner party inspiration. In that vein, the rug + accent baskets are home styling elements while the cane webbing is an easy Amazon find that makes for a big impact!
From a florists’ perspective, Jill of Layered Vintage likened the cane webbing to chicken wire, something they use all the time for installations and backdrops:
Once it’s set in place, it is super easy to weave flowers throughout. You could trim greenery from your own yard to accent it or even use good silk flowers for a more permanent look!
