Marfa, Texas is one of the most surreal places on the planet, so it’s no big surprise that we totally fall for pretty much every wedding that’s ever taken place there. Lauren + Chase are creatives by trade (he a designer + musician, and she a talented photographer) so they really called upon their innovative eye and exceptional taste to bring to life their dreamy desert celebration. On their inspiration, Lauren says, The desert and Marfa definitely inspired us. It’s one of our favorite places; a home away from home.
We’re ready to see more, what about you? Thanks to Geoff Duncan Photography for the gorgeous photos below!
Processional: Bridal Party: First Day of My Life – Bright Eyes; Bride: Bloom – Paper Kites
Recessional: You're The One That I Want (from the movie Grease)
First Dance: Love – Michael Buble (Performed live by Scott Keo)
Lauren: It was so surreal to marry my best friend in one of our favorite places surrounded by our favorite people.
Lauren wore her grandmother’s wedding dress…amazing, right? We do have say it was significantly altered by Maria Chandlerove, but the notion behind it just so sweet. And if you’re loving the bridesmaids gray frocks, those pretties are from Alfred Angelo.
Obsessed with these gorgeous portraits Geoff captured of the newlyweds all around Marfa.
Chase: I would tell others that are planning to keep one thing in mind: the wedding is about the two of you and no one else.
