If you won’t be making it down to the Big Easy this Carnival Season, why not bring New Orleans to you?? Beijos Events has designed the most beautiful Mardi Gras party complete with boho beads, a modern take on Mardi Gras gold, purple and green, and of course, the most delicious beignet bar! They’ve laid out the easiest steps to help you celebrate Mardi Gras in style- from the comfort of home!

From the color palette and decor, to the amazing food, jot these tips down, grab your closest friends, and indulge in the NOLA fun!

Corrie Lynn Photo captured it all! Let’s take a look!

Festive Signage and Details

At GWS, we love a good pun. How cute is this calligraphy from Proper Letter?? Beignet all Day? Don’t mind if we do!

Add in fun Mardi Gras Details – I used signage to help share in the Mardi Gras spirit and also did fun cocktail stirrers in the shape of fleur de lis and masks!

Dinner Party Design

Rather than do the typical Mardi Gras setup, Beijos decided to put a boho spin on things. Pampas grass decor? Check! Gorgeous florals? Check! Balloon Installation? Check, check, check!

Go Green and Purple, but in a subdued way… A lot of the images I saw for Mardi Gras parties were… well, a little bit flashy, haha! So I used the classic green and purple colors, but in a muted tone. We also added in some pops of blush pink and gold, which I think works so well! Don’t forget to add some sparkle! We went with metallic gold balloons and gold confetti thrown wherever we could!!

Tablescape dreams! We’re loving the fun take on traditional Mardi Gras beads that Beijos describes below. These would be such a cute favor for your dinner party guests! These wooden beads from Amazon would be perfect!

Throw me Beads!! Beads are a big part of Mardi Gras and we used them too, but natural toned wood beads… I loved the idea of taking a traditional element but putting a different spin on it – a more boho Beijos touch!

Balloon Installation
